    Would like to remind people that Anastasia is a nail educator and has been a nail tech for at least 18 years. She is a professional and the founder of a nail school and has been in many magazines for her work. She is giving an extremely kind review. Nail techs do not have to do a one bead method. Many use the 2-4 bead method. Also, the one bead method Anacrylics uses is an advanced method that is not suitable for beginners. I see her growth but she is certainly not a nail professional. You should not build or form or mold a nail with colored acrylic. It should be capped in clear because pigmented powder does not have strength. Whether you love it or hate it, please know the facts.

    Try again after watching Ana's response short! The formula is very different on purpose and I am giving her much benefit of the doubt after watching her explain the best way to apply it. I feel like it's great to start getting more variety in formula types because every nail tech has their own preferences.
    For example, even as a beginner, I do not like to drag acrylic beads at all except to smooth it all over as it is curing. I really like the pat-molding method to spread the product out and shape it. I feel like this gives me a lot more control of the product even when I use a bigger bead.
    I may be biased because I do really want to try Ana's products myself. I wouldn't be surprised if the product performs differently when using a different method. I really would love to see a new video retrying these powders, even though I still appreciate this one!

      I never had a problem with it drying. Sounds like your ratio is off.

    • @ezeij3216
      @ezeij3216 2 роки тому +12

      @@m.ccheddarbox874 well the ratio doesnt have anything to do with how the acrylic dries. Even if the ratio if extremely runny for any other brand of acrylic it will dry normally but this brand takes way too long to dry. Matter of a fact the way it dries has to do with the chemical composition of the acrylic powder, so basically her powder has more added components to make the powder purposely dry slower but its not good overall.

    I’ve been a nail technician for 2 years now (licensed for a year and a half), and I bought the Anacrylics Halloween 2021 collection last year, the glow in the dark one. I thought it was gonna be good, but I don’t really like them. Their texture is weird for me (but I’m sure I’m just used to how fast regular acrylic dries) but that collection also sticks to the brush for me. I also don’t like the way it files either. It seems super hard and there’s not a whole bunch of dust. They’re also not super pigmented either, so when I did an ombré with one of them, I would have to do multiple thin layers until it wasn’t see through. It also drives me crazy that they don’t dry faster. The colors also separate with them too. I thought that the color separation was normal for glow in the dark pigments, but now I’m seeing that it’s not supposed to be normal for any type of powders.
    Honestly, I think it might be fine for beginners who just need to work with what they have when they’re in school and such (affordable and slow-setting), although they might need to start using higher quality powders and monomers once they get the hang of it. As someone who’s been using acrylic constantly for the last 2 years, I don’t think the Anacrylics brand is very good.

      Ana has said in videos and showed that you have to wait a couple of seconds and hold the acrylic there and wait, if you don’t it will be grainy. Also for the clogging the brush problem if you look at Anaclyrics’s videos she has said that you need to tap it and mold it as you go down if you drag it like nail techs do with other brands it will get in your brush and will get clogged hope this helps

      @tonyagrays 2 роки тому +5

      I'm not a nail tech so I really don't know any better than you guys, but I watch a lot of anacrylics videos, and I believe there's a certain way to work with her products, she said that her products are made to be mold and shape while working not drag like any others brands... And after picking a bead, you can wait maybe few seconds before applying it... Maybe you just have to learn how to use it better, because every brand is different on their own...

    Not a chance. That all looks awful to work with. Doesn't stick to the brush? I can see it sticking. The way it drags is terrible. I wouldn't say a beginner should choose this at all.
