Great piece, wonderful to see the inside of this operation and your interview of Jesse Melot.
Thanks Ethan!!! Great tour! You showed two of the top four Rifle Shoppe guns on my list; the wall gun and the Nock volley gun. The others two at the top of my list are the 1800 Baker rifle and the 1800 Harper's Ferry rifle.

Really AWESOME!!! Great video.... nice to see that wheellock up close, pretty cool the original engraving is copied in the casting!!
Wow! What a great shop! That wall gun was amazing. But then again, the volley gun was, too. Thanks for taking us along, Ethan! 👍👍
Interesting to see the people behind the name. Hard working everyday man producing an outstanding product with a quiet , humble professionalism. Think this should be a new series for you, visit the people behind the names and products. Good job.
Yep it's pretty awesome. Also, you're the one responsible for that 1776 rifle. There seems how you are the one who pointed me in that direction
Talked to the crew several times and now i know what they look like. Some day maybe i will visit the shop.
Great Video Ethan. I had no idea how or why about the Rifle Shoppe was the way it was. Now I have a better idea. I have a Hall Rifle Kit in my lust list. Scared of all the metal work however. Thanks
Wow! Craftsmanship/Art at its finest! Kind Thanks Ethan and to this shop! Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
The mortar sitting on the shelf next to the gadget gun.
Very interesting Ethan I tell you that was going to be my guest I bet you spent many hours with that man there that day so much knowledge
Nice
As a tool maker there is nothing wrong with cast parts. As with everything it’s all about the quality of the material and the skill of the craftsman.
Yes you can have crappy castings. Yes you can have great castings that are better than billet.
I’d like to add and remind everyone that Ruger casts all their frames and receivers on their bolt rifles and handguns. These frames are strong enough to contain 460 S&W and 500 S&W. The rifles are strong enough to contain 416 Rigby and 505 Gibbs
The same casting process Ruger uses is used to cast turbines for jet engines.
@@larryalexander4833 Which is the same process that the Rifle shop uses. And I work for a Gas Turbine manufacturer.
Fantastic show today, Ethan. Wellston, Mo. is about 700 miles from me, so I won't be jumping in the truck and heading out anytime soon. You fellas are sure lucky to have such a place so close. Trivia Question: Last weekend was the 162 anniversary of what event. I thought about checking it out, but other plans kept me home. Thanks guys for everything you guys do.
Thanks and yes it is very nice having not too far away. Also I believe the event you were talking about is the Battle of Shiloh 😊
@@Real11BangBang yes, you are right. Battle of Shiloh April 6-7, 1862. Shelby Foote Noted that it was best to visit these battle sites in the season it took place to get an idea of how it must have felt to the soldiers in the field.
Sweet a volley gun
Simply amazing! Those type I Harper’s Ferry’s are crazy rare.
Great stuff!
Came back back to finish this entire video. The Rifle Shop is a national treasure
Cool stuff! Thanks for the tour.
Over all one of your best videos, and what a great advertisement for the Rifle Shoppe. You never mentioned the bore on the wall gun but that really caught my attention. Many frontier outposts had either a wall gun or a swivel gun if they had a wall to mount it on.
Thank you.
Very cool video, thanks as always! Warcrime woody tour guide!
A Volley Gun ..... I have no idea why ..... but I want one !!
Awesome video, I think this is my favorite yet. I so need a Nock
volley and Wall gun. By chance did he say anything about the little mortar pattern that was on the shelf. Thank for sharing this wonderful tour.
Well done Ethan. only one problem: it is way too short. I want more MORE! that feller can tell tales and speaking to a maker like you who knows a thing or seven opens him up to really talking. Other then that gripe I wanted to take notes!
Yeah we had a pretty good long conversation. It would have been longer except for my phone. Ended up dying on me and I had to drive about another 8 hours to go take the course on the army's EST marksmanship simulation trainer and how to run it. But we did spend several hours just talking about old guns. It was a pretty good conversation
Loved the interview. Really makes me want to order from the rifle shop.
I cant wait to order the baker rifle
I am just disappointed that you haven't gotten a proper swivel gun or cannon yet!
It's a good thing I don't live close to The Rifle Shoppe because i would be there everyday! 😅
I bought this nock gun with 300 francs t great for zombies
What was the bolt gun above the wall gun ?
@@Real11BangBang That's my problem too....I know I've seen that gun before, but can't remember the name. Great video...
That looks like the world's greatest gun shop!
I think it might be Santee
This is what I would like to imagine heaven to be like lol
