- In a media briefing held in Johannesburg on 16 May 2022, EFF leader Julius Malema took a swipe at Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, who he said should not involve himself in politics but should rather stick to being a respectable judge. This comes after ANC NEC member Tony Yengeni submitted a complaint to the JSC pertaining to the chief justice.

I truly agree with him on this one. This Zondo Commission was a total waste of tax payer's monies and time and it is partial and bias. He was a referee for a certain faction on ANC and everything was pre-planned to find others guilty and declare others innocent even when they are guilty. This Commission is a state capture on it's own, wasted money and time, dragged only to give findings that are obviously one sided. I can't wait for this judge to go on retirement, he does not possess the credibility that the media paints him to possess.
