    One of the best PG of this draft, first round pick!

      I'm not as high on him

      Seems to me that he will fit in with the Thunder like a glove. He has Thunder written all over him. I even believe he will get minutes with the Thunder this season at some point. A steal...

      @@wolfbane610 okay, I understand your strong feelings but who does he play over on that roster?

    • @wolfbane610
      @wolfbane610 3 місяці тому +1

      @HoopsProfile Well, there will be many big blowouts, so I'm guessing he will get some minutes because of that. He will dominate in the G-league so he will get plenty of call ups. But then there's Topic, next season, which looks really talented. Then there could be 3 more 1st round picks in a deep 2025 draft. 2 in the lottery and 1 potentially high lottery pick.
      They could create 2 teams. They are 3 deep and have their eyes set on a championship.

      @@wolfbane610 the team is set up for a run. I think they will cash some of that draft capital in for a vet at some point. Topic is an exciting prospect

    I've been following him for a couple months now. I think he could be a steal in this draft. I'm a Magic fan and I would love to take him in the 2nd rd.

    How do you think Mitchell compares skillset wise to Podz from the Warriors? I haven't watched much of Mitchell aside from highlights where his handle looks really nice, and also at the combine scrimmages where he defended really well, and you could see the same grit that makes him a good rebounder. But I was disappointed in his comfort level creating at the combine; it was below avg for a PG - and I see glimpses of that issue in this vid as well

      @HoopsProfile  6 місяців тому

      You are right. He has a high skill level for his size but he isn't a true PG. He had Cam Spencer on him a lot the first game and Nikola Djursic who aren't great defenders. He will have to be a good decision maker because his shot isn't great and he isn't explosive. He will have to embrace the role of big playmaking guard to survive in the league

      @@HoopsProfile yea the athleticism issues vs this level of competition is red flag ish..combine that with not having the point guard knack and you wonder how well he'll create at the next level.. He had one nice behind the back move in transition at the combine, but in the halfcourt he couldn't navigate the pick and roll cleanly, or separate ; oddly stagnant, just didn't show that point guard comfortability

    • @HoopsProfile
      @HoopsProfile  6 місяців тому

      Sorry, I thought you were talking about Dillon Jones. They are similar so the commentary is the same lol. AJ is a PG but he doesn't play make well enough and isn't explosive

    • @deesteven
      @deesteven 6 місяців тому +1

      @@HoopsProfile haha no prob. I was pessimistic on Jones after his combine, his handle was loose that day... but if you haven't you should watch his game against Oral Roberts.. he showed an ability to play off-ball and do a lot of connective stuff on offense, which I wasn't sure was a role he could thrive in, considering all of his ISO ball stuff this year.. he also showed he's an active relocator and good passer. some nice defense in that game too.
      A lot of NBA role stuff; as opposed to his ISO role

    • @HoopsProfile
      @HoopsProfile  6 місяців тому +1

      @@deesteven yea, he can be a connector. He will need to embrace that playmaker and defensive role to stick

    The problem for AJ is that he will compete in the 2 round with solid PG like simpson, newton or Nuñez. It will be great if you oculd react to the brilliant spanish PG (Nuñez i mean)
