Ruruoni Kenshin is one of the best anime that i ever watch since the beginning of the story, including the anime movie, 2 OVAs and also listening to the anime OST and until now, the live-action movie version and finally 3 songs by One Ok Rock (The Beginning, Mighty Long Fall & Heartache) Banzai Ruruoni Kenshin!!!!!!!!!

I surprised that in the Philippines they are speaking English. I thought interviews will be in the original Philippino language. England did colonized a lot of the world back then. This interview is great.

Anime refers to Japanese animation while cartoons refer animated series created by Americans or westerners in general :)

Cartoons is animation in general. Anime roughly (lol) translates to cartoon. Even if its style is anime, it is still a cartoon.

i like the language and the movies
they learn english in school and pretty sure they speak it or understand wonder why they need translator. Especially when they are actors and always int he spotlight and doing business english should be 2nd nature
Actually japanese people as a whole are not really that good in english even though it is thought in schools and it is most certainly not 2nd nature to them. There are many people in Japan who don't speak a word of english. Of course there are exceptions and some people are really good and many know at least the basics. But they are probably not fluent in english and in these kinds of situations I think they probably want to understand and be understood as well as possible, hence the translator.
Yeah, the vast majority can't speak it well at all. Muneta is like a rarity in well he speaks and understands the language.
