There's a way better way to fishing 24, starting at fishing 20 or 21, you can fish lava sea creatures in the magma field of crystal hollows (blazes and pigmen), these can be caught with the starter lava rod that you get on the crimson isle. These sea creatures gives A LOT more exp than any water sea creature, if you have a lvl 90+ amonite pet, it's way faster to max out the starter lava rod and do lava fishing.
