Ohhhh ... My wife has asked me to make some door snakes. I've just realised, that's not what we want at all! We want door cats. I'll need to adapt this to make it bigger - maybe on my 40 needle instead - but it's a great pointer.
I like to add a leg of girls tights inside as a liner so the stuffing doesn't peek out. I'm buying my childhood old farmhouse with single-pane windows with gaps. I've been dreaming of making aforable animals to span the 30" across. I'll measure appropriately & make these babies! Yay & thanks!
In the video I give a graphic with all the row counts. Maybe fast forward until you see it! I did this a while ago so I don't remember off the top of my head.
Question: I noticed that you doubled the head but not the body. May I ask why? When stuffing the body, I saw the stuffing is very visible. Just wondering if there is a reason not to make a longer body and double it. Is it about the rigidity? Since the cat's body needs to be more floppy?
Hi! I didn't double the body because it isn't stuffed enough to show through; whereas you need to stuff the head enough to be round and it shows through. So try stuffing the body less or you can double it. Also, it depends on the yarn. If your yarn is thinner than mine, it will show through more.
It’s almost 1:30 a.m., I stayed,up to watch you make this adorable kitty. So very cute. I hope I can make it as well. ❤️🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️
