I know time passing will make you feel at a loss, like things may be hopeless or too late, but it’s not. May you get that peaceful, stable life you desire ❤️
I’m not sure why they translated it to “…on your own.” That part of the translation made it sound a bit disparaging in English (unintentionally I’m sure). Basically it’s same phrase you’d use to cheer a person on and tell them “do your best!” There’s not really an “on your own” part said. So the phrase actually sounds positive and encouraging. And I think sounds very sweet and cute to tell plants like that haha
It's a long-term thing but investing in shade trees will eventually make your yard pleasant to be in through most of the summer. Also, I'm going to get a rabbit tail for a house plant, if I can find one. It's grass, I shouldn't be able to kill it.
That was legit one of my plans!! I'm no joke afraid of the how hot things might get in the future; summers are already bad enough here. We planted a bunch of fast-growing shade trees around the house a few months after we moved in 💪
You might already know this: blue and pink Hydrangea blooms change color based on the soil acidity, with acidic conditions promoting blue and alkaline promoting pink (the white ones should stay white though). It's possible to get some really beautiful color transitions on large plants with careful soil additions to make the soil have different pH values across the plant, but also I've never done it myself so I don't know how difficult it is to maintain.
1:43 “But these are tiny plates, i dont ever eat anything tiny” feeling called out rn LMAO thats so me😭😭 (Also: lavender is really good in gardens because it repels mosquitoes!)
@@erieberrymarshall3906 Our outside cats don't eat the lavender in our garden, and we have LOTS of lavender. They always tend to go for something more grass like, and one cat also eats dry withered leafs. But every cat is different, so it might be better to supervise them at first around the plants that are toxic. If they want to eat them, get rid of those plants.
Hydrangeas get their name because they're flowers that thrive on a lot of water and they absorb water through their petals instead of their roots. They'll still receive nutrients through their roots from the soil, but if you notice that the flowers looking sad, just give them lots of water and they'll be looking happy again. Definitely great plants during rainy seasons, but watch out for the scorching summer season as the flowers will start to look burnt. Keep them hydrated!

Ferns are also a good pet safe plant as well and some succulents.
YAAY SHOPPING FOR JUN'S BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🎉🎉 so excited to see the picks !! I ran to this notification let me tell you (I'm laying in bed it was a quick run 😂)
I googled it! Hydrangea means "water vessel" "Hydrangea: 1753, coined in Modern Latin by Linnaeus as a compound of Greek hydr-, stem of hydor "water" (from suffixed form of PIE root *wed- (1) "water; wet") + angeion "vessel, capsule" (see angio-); so called from the shrub's cup-shaped seed pods." -Online Etymology Dictionary
“Good luck plants, you’re on your own!” is how just about everyone gets down here in the desert after a season or two of panicking and covering everything in blankets every time it gets cold out
I love the addition to the garden! The river with the white rocks is great, the hydrangeas look fabulous, and the bunny tails are super cute! Great work, guys!🤙
Thinking a lot about how you used to have just one cat in a small little apartment and now you're living your best life with four fuzzballs in your house. A glow up for sure.
I find hydrangea to be a really fitting name! I believe it has the same root word as words like "hydrate," and it's really fitting because they need SOOO much water. It is basically impossible to overwater hydrangeas, and they love getting almost drowned. Despite needing so much water, they're so gorgeous they're worth it! And they keep their flowers for so long!
I always love the cozy gardening videos. Everything always looks so thought out and pretty. The styles you guys chose are a perfect blend. Also! those in the comments wondering... A quick search: "modern Latin, from Greek hudro- ‘water’ + angeion ‘vessel’ named from the cup shape of its seed capsule)
i was actually just talking about hydrangeas with my mom, they're named like that cuz you're supposed to keep them well-watered! one of ours dried out in the middle of a spring dry spell but has since bounced back

Love living vicariously through your gardening adventures and oh! The pottery!! Hope Jun feels better soon😌
The stuff you have for Jun is awesome! 😎 and you guys have definitely done an excellent job on the garden it’s very impressive!❤
Will you guys make a catio? Something that your cats can access anytime? I’m sure you’ve been asked soooo many times so my apologies ❤❤❤
7:26 the way Rachel delivered that sentence made me burst out laughing 😂😂
Awww you have no idea how much I look forward to your videos!!! I love them so much whatever they are about !!!

This style of vlog was so comforting and relaxing
i was actually just talking about hydrangeas with my mom, they're named like that cuz you're supposed to keep them well-watered! one of ours dried out in the middle of a spring dry spell but has since bounced back
