i absolutely love how the end of the strike looks when its night, and it's one of the few maps that showcases that bungie once had ideas and triggers that were time of day based on the strikes, the imposing look the boss gives when you are going up the lift and hes pure shadow due to the lights on his back being on is such a good composition and creative use of the systems they have in hand. wished more strikes did that :( it's quite funny how huge is the skybox and out of map props specifically for that strike comparing to other and nowdays stuff.
Greetings frog man. I have a potential extension to this glitch. Firstly, send a player up and out of the map like this. Land on that roof, or somewhere else that's safe and close by. Secondly, later in the strike you're able to summon a sparrow, to get to the tank room. You could send a player there, and get them to turn around and bring the sparrow back to the start area. Thirdly (this is the part I'm unsure about, and think your expertise would fill the gap), your second player would need to find a way to glitch the sparrow either through a wall outside of the map, or somehow up onto the roof. The OOB player could then use this sparrow to sparrow fly and explore properly. I just have no idea how to do step three and get the sparrow out of bounds. Your thoughts?
Just came across your channel and all the videos are very interesting. Did you do this in Destiny 1, and if so have the developers methods in how they put together 3D objects changed in a way that makes OOB different now from what it was then?
Sadly I didn't play D1, partially because it was a console exclusive. You can definitely see how some of the engine is the same though, like how IRB works in both. It's actually insane in D1 since you have self rez on Warlock, and there's a emote swapping sort of thing you can do to get the same "death to load" sort of effect. So an IRB in D1 just means identifying where you want to do it. Since D1 isn't getting big fixes now, and new D2 bugs sometimes work in D1, going OOB in D1 is nearly unrestricted. AllInWall does some pretty cool stuff in D1 if you want to see what that's like. ua-cam.com/users/headfog
It gets memed on for being an easy nightfall farm but I think it’s one of my fav strikes in the game rn. Tis one of the more cinematic feeling ones. Plus there’s Cayde lol
I've been messing with this for a while when I get the strike for fun, had no idea it's an out of box. I think the third tank across the bridge where you carry the solar cell works too.
The (I think still current) Arms Dealer 3 man world record uses this method, except you go the opposite direction. (towards the dunk) If you want to watch it, search for "arms dealer world record 2:45" on UA-cam. I ran into two of the guys that did it on the D2 Speedrun discord, and they were kind enough to load up the strike with me and show me how two of the skips work. I had no idea you do use the ship to do this though.
Oh, this is pretty nice. I'm so close to getting beyond the second barrier in Excavation site VII. I've got two options: quantum sparrow or good old fashioned boosting with the sparrow to make it before the barriers spawn. Good thing I'm terrible at both of those!
The good thing about Quantum Sparrow there is you really just need to make one, and have a buddy of course. Making one isn't bad. You can go up top and sparrow into the load from the back for a long load ua-cam.com/video/muzNUi0AcE4/v-deo.html The routing I do there is terrible there. You can just go up at 2:43ish to get to the top, especially with Stasis now.
On the EDZ? Grapple flying out from that zone should give good views, although if you want to actually break out of the box in a zone that has one, you can use a failed drill public event, or you'd have to syncbox or something. There's a nice quantum spot you can use, like the one in the skimmer Galaxy Pools video .

Quite possibly XD It kills you if you don't use sword swings right, so I can see how it'd be easy to miss. I certainly did...
Earliest I saw someone do this was in a speedrun nearly a year ago. I'm surprised that some of these are even found sometimes.
