I just bought the bingos. I bought a tom attachment and drilled holes right into the side of the bongs. Now I can attach it to any arm. Currently have it on a ball attachment that would normally be for a Tom.
@@brentroman what have you enjoyed the most as a snare for a cajon kit? I’ve come across Groove Industries and Loota Percussion that seem to have really cool products. But curious to get your take. I saw another video of yours using the slap top cajon. That was my original idea for a snare, but idk how you mounted it! Cool stuff
The little octoganal cajon snare you see in the vid is what I currently have. It’s ok. I also sometimes use a meinl rectangular cajon snare, and when you Velcro it to these wooden bongos, it fits well in a snare basket. I haven’t had much experience with other snare cajons out there. I also need to find a spray to apply to my cajon snare so that brush works sounds better. The slaptop was mounted on a djembe stand. I think it’s too over-engineered and heavy to be practical, but it did work. I imagine there’s a better/simpler/lighter way to mount it.
nice!
Would love to see a close up of your wood bracing. I have the LP Bongo Cajon and I am trying to find a decent stand for it!
I'll try to take a pic and post later here

Sounds like a great idea!
