Important note: Don't get Impatient when it comes to animating, Take your time.
You don't get something glorious as JJK fight scenes under an hour, believe it or not if you were to work on JJK's fight scenes by yourself it'd take 1-3 months. So don't get impatient and take your time
the facts he be spittin
@@TheTacoMan :D
If only i had my patience from when i learned numerous extremely diffucult tricks in my brain inside of roblox parkour
@@fartbarrels7421 then you lack passion, passion is one of the fuels for patience
@@Yuieatspaint ill try to be patient
this tutorial is great cause it gives tons of tips and tricks on multiple topics in one video instead of splitting it across 30 tutorials each being 15 minutes long
FOR REAL THO.
I get it, animation isn't simple, but 30, 15min tutorials isn't making it easier. It just makes me want to quit.
Pro tip : I wouldn't recommend to always copy movements from others as that could make you develop a habit of sharp movements, it is alright to copy for inspiration but forging your own style is a must.
Shut up noob

It's amazing how you were able to keep the tutorial interesting. Honestly, it came out great and you deserve a pat on the back.
And a very VERY hard pat in the stomach
So what is that moon thing?
I didnt
agreed
very good
Nahhh bro he deserves a pat on the head
ngl, this tutorial was like the best out of all those animating tutorials, just subscribed :D
Not gonna lie, you have one of the best intros I've seen so far.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I recently started animating and I love the way you explained it. Helped me out a ton!
(new animator here!)
For a bit smoother movement I like to separate the keyframes by just a little bit when posing to add a small effect of smoother looking movement.
Also keep any leg and torso related keyframes together in one lane for better footwork.
I do the keyframe separation thing too. But sometimes it kind of looks weird
@@n9591. I relate to this sometimes. Mostly now I'll just delay the head a pinch and it makes everything look smoother for some reason
@@QuestAnimates how are you at animating 9 months later
@@b0exi I feel as if I’m doing really good, but there’s somehow room for new things to learn. And there probably is. Look at my first video compared to my newer ones. It’s crazy how I evolved.
can somebody help?? how do u make something constant like the camera
and like im trying to make a gun pull out a gun real fast and how do i make it so it just appears if i dont it looks like its coming out of the ground
adding a keyframe before another keyframe sometimes helps. for example, the body part will start to move before the keyframe to make it smoother. adding another keyframe before that makes the part only move after passing that keyframe.
This tutorial is Actually Overall stuff There's so much tips and trick to explore! Keep up the good work man.
thank you! i am an actual animator with drawing, tweening, shit like that but this really helps !! animating is certainly hard, what i recommend is to take your time, and learn from others. it might not be the best ALL the time but every animation, will eventually become your best.
this guide is insane it is actually decently long and goes thru all of the basic stuff it rlly helped ty!
3:22 is unfortunately relatable
true
Im thinking the hard work it was to edit this video. No doubts that it was the best tutorial i saw
thanks man, and yes it was some hard work
honestly i like how you performed certain examples to help people learn how to animate
thank you for making this im having a lot of fun just makking silly little animations
Thank you
This video helped so much, this deserves more views!
Sooooo helpful man this is a great vid
Your videos are so amazing bro - you're so underrated - this helped a lot too and it was really funny aswell, thankyou
If you want to go even more in depth, I'd recommend you to watch Alan Becker's 12 laws of animation. Ignore the squash and stretch as movement is key.
Ive seen that video so many times some of the laws are easy to grasp.
Amazing tutorial! Thank you so much! :-)
Quick question: it's been baffling me for a while, is there any way to animate a character placing a hand object down onto a surface and walk off without the object following the character in mid air? 😂 (or does this have to be manually animated as best as possible?)
well how the hand object works is its going to be basically stuck to the arm and it moves with the arm, so if you want to keep it in place, you could insert it as a model without doing all that rigging stuff.
its hard to explain but just add a copy of the object on the same position where you want it to be placed, make sure the transparency is 1 before it happens and when the original object gets in its position, make the original's object transparency to 1
GoldyhalfGG i use that a lot

Yo your tutorial is so effective and yes you are true fight scenes are hard asf to make my fight scene took me two hours to make but i still be able to create a one minute short film thhanks tacoo!!
great content
love it
keep up the work
Note: Thank you! But could you also explain how you get good maps/areas/backgrounds? (Like schools, forests, cities, stores, libraries, battlegrounds, etc?
Do you find or make them? If you make them, could you make a tutorial?
Find them in the toolbox or just get stuff in the toolbox creating a scene with the stuff from there

and like im trying to make a gun pull out a gun real fast and how do i make it so it just appears if i dont it looks like its coming out of the ground
Great tutorial! It helped explain a lot, wondering if there is a way to separate the arm into two different pieces so that you can make it look like it has an elbow? Or would you have to use something like blender for that?
you can do that in r15 but not r6
you can make a rig of it but thatd be hard
When inserting your character, try one of the options in the inserter and make it R15
This video is so creative and funny I love it so I subbed and liked on this this video is the best :D
Tysmmm! I just got access to roblox studio, and I’ve been wanting to learn how to animate on there for a while now.
The most difficult thing for me while trying to animate is the amount of frames for just a single movement. I feel like im not creative enough to be able to know when (lets take an example of an animation of a guy raising his hand) the hand has to slow down. It is all really confusing in all honesty.
sorry for being late, but i usually use quad out, it helps a little, its not too noticable but it just makes it smooth like chocolate milk.
OMG TY I WAS SEARCHIGN FOR WEEKS FOR AN ACTUAL HELPFUL TUTORIAL
This really did help me!
Thank you so much!
🙏
Thanks for this tutorial! By the way with the hand objects, what do I do when I want to holster a weapon like a gun? When I animate the gun being holstered and then try to animate the character's arm after that, the gun moves with the character's arm. Is there a way to keep the gun in the holster without having to animate it to stay in the holster when I move the arm?
try animating it as a model so click the model then clean it using easy weld then add it to the animation, btw you have to use the in studio moving tool to animate it, and remember to add a keyframe by pressing = button, it doesn't automatically do it for you like it does when animating a person (btw accidently clicked cancel when replying so i had to type this twice rip)
@@TheTacoMan thanks!
can i also just simply weld the model to the torso / humanoid root part?
i meant motor6d
yea im pretty sure you can do it with every body part
Refreshing to see an interesting animation tutorial. The others aren't bad, but... Let's say they can cure my insomnia
mate you deserve a sub, this is the ultimate tutorial

The aggressive yelling makes this tutorial so much better
