- Hey Horse Lovers! Esmeralda's Birthday is TODAY! Join us as we celebrate with lots of fun, excitement, and special moments. This is truly a milestone not only for Free Spirit Equestrian but for Ezzy as well. Her journey has been emotional and FULL of surprises. On 6/16/23 Belle gave birth to her MYSTERY FOAL at 1:15AM!!! Today it's time to look back at all of the memories Ezzy has had over the last year. In this video you will see clips from her birth and all of her growth stages thus far. For more back story information: in February, I purchased Belle from an auction and well... we discovered she was pregnant about 4 weeks later following a wellness exam and quarantine! We were completely shocked but also very happy. This was the first foal to ever be born at Free Spirit Farm.

When I left my abusive husband, I was on my lowest low and suddenly I found your channel and first video was when Ezzy was born. It became highlight of my life and I was glad to see kindness and love from your videos. I was happy whenever I saw you uploaded new video, especially when Esmeralda was there. I just want to say that you helped me to overcome my hard times and even if I am some foreign woman from Sweden, you changed my life to better.

I actually discovered your channel due to Ezzy's birth and I've been following along ever since. I absolutely love your love for your horses and it's been such a treat to see Ezzy grow and change over this past year.

I remember commenting shortly after Esmeralda was born that you never sell either of them because they were together a “gift from God”, and I still believe that…he sent you Belle because she needed your kindness and care, Ezzy was your special gift-I still believe this…I hope they stay with you forever-I couldn’t imagine Free Spirit without them…❤

Belle’s like were not smashing any cake and wasting a crumb. In the movie Black Beauty at the end you see Beauty and his two friends in a field just hanging out enjoying themselves with no worries. Seeing Belle and her two friends reminded me of the movie. They got the happy ending they deserved. And Belle and Ezzy got the life and love they deserve.
I still remember the day Ezzy was born I was at my pool then a notification went off I look at the notification it said “My mare Belle gave birth” you have no idea I ran for my towel and I sat down and watched the video, I can’t believe it’s been a year since she was born. Happy birthday Ezzy!🎉😊

Belle and Ezzy were so Lucky to end up with you. Belle could have a safe and stress free pregnancy and time being a mother and Ezzy could grow up in a safe environment. All while being showered with your endless love for horses ❤❤

Belle came right to you. She really loves you and enjoys interaction and training. The video is so incredible and emotional. I find it amusing that I could see the mischief and friendliness on Ezzy's face as soon as she was born. Her personality was evident from the start, and her beautiful, Medieval warhorse mother, Blue Belle, is just one of the most majestic horses ever. Plus, she is such a good mother who watched over Ezzy and taught her how to be a horse. Congratulations all around!

I've rewatched it several times, too. And yes, I get teary every single time. I always love Belle's reaction when Shae starts praising her. It's like she's saying "Look what I made!" Also, I forget how BIG Belle is when little Shae stands next to her. LOL Izzy is gonna be HUGE. 😳

Ezzy definitely has her mammas eyes, her lashes are visible from miles away! They’re so soft and kind too. I absolutely love her tail carriage and movement too, she really is a stunning mare. Thank you Belle for blessing Shae with such a beautiful gift. I just know she’ll love you for the rest of your life in return. You’ll want for nothing and neither will Ezzy. Beautiful mares. ❤❤❤

I'm also reminded what a wonderful mother Belle is, doting and helpful but not pushy. Always watchful, protective but not mean or pushy. Fantastic mare, she really is the Belle of the Ball. Ezzy is beautiful like her but with the advantage of having a wonderful human to bring her up and train her without trauma. I can't wait to see Ezzy grown into a mare, but I will enjoy the journey.

Belle had my heart from the moment you gave her your first cuddle. Her face is pure love and she has captivated us all from the start. I love all your horses. They are family but Belle has always been special, as is Ezzy. Ariel captured my heart early on too! When she followed you out of that stall to go meet Ezzy, I cried for joy! ...and her and Ezzy romping, playing in the paddock still plays the strings of my fondest memories!

I'm from the Eastern Townships in Québec. Never owned a horse, was never a rider, but I love them for their grace, beauty and strength. I became aware of your channel shortly before Ezzy was born and the thing that most touched me was to see the geldings and Bagheera all sleeping in the next paddock patiently waiting for morning to see the baby.

This past year really did go by fast! It was enjoyable to watch Ezzy grow over this year. Watching her week to week the change isn't so obvious until you do a video like this. Will Ezzy grow even more, or will she just grow her musculature? Will Ariel grow more? Thank you for the look back, and I will be expecting more videos as these girls grow up!

No more saying hi to the foals, it's now hi to the yearlings. I have been here for Esmerelda and Ariel's journey since the start and it warms my heart to see how gorgeous these two girls have become and how big they are becoming and are going to become, especially Ezzy! You have been doing such an amazing job and both of these young yearlings are just so lucky to have someone as amazing, kind and caring as you. We and Kyle are all so so proud of you (and yes kyle as well! he has been a great horse hubby/dad). I can't wait to see these girls progress more and become the most beautiful horses ever.
