    guys having a rabbit trimmed by a experts can be hard to find in some areas including vets. rabbits themselfs are costly too. not to mention some people use sheers for sheeps and tie the rabbits down so they dont move which can kill the rabbit if its spooked enough. if this is the only way she can do it then thats up for her. not to mention shes actually telling people how to gentle with the animal as best as she can. u might talk shit but atleast that rabbit isnt tied down and getting literally scared to death

    • @nixon742
      @nixon742 3 роки тому +1

      @ultradeadd dude they arent even tramatizing it, now if they wher typing it down, pulling the shit outta it etc then YEA thats traumatizing tf out of your rabbit but as u can see they rabbit isnt even fucking screaming. plus she said shes down this before so im pretty sure she knows what shes doing, its better than letting ur rabbits furr mat up if you know ur not gonna broom it so regularly mostly with long haired rabbits like lion heads and angor

      Sheers for sheep are nothing like the clippers we use to groom dogs and cats. Seriously, look up the difference. Cutting sections of hair like this, with dull scissors, mishandling your animal --these lead to disasters -- I am a vet groomer and have seen cats get split open by their owners...Use high quality blades and clippers, do not force the blade, go slow and check temp of blade...I have seen too many disasters to encourage this at all

    • @nixon742
      @nixon742 3 роки тому

      @@lychee-dj9qo um pretty sure they only used craft sissores, those are no where near sheep clippers. sheep clipper are bigger and bulker. not to mention i know the differents and id know a thing a two about accidents with animals and their owners clipping them. and just because you use a high quality blade or clippers doesnt mean it wont cut your dogs or cats skin. dog and cat skin are no where near rabbit skin. their skin is much thinner and a high quality sharp glade can actually make the chances of them getting cut higher. not to mention the best way to cut a rabbit is with clippers or scissors because jus the sound of a load as raser would scare it half to death

    Firstly: wrong scissors. Paper scissors shouldn’t be used to cutting hair because they’re too blunt and clumsy
    And another thing, why don’t you just use a trimmer lol, it’s much faster and doesn’t look patchy

    Im a dog groomer and I had someone bring in a dog they groomed like this for me to "finish the job" .... I took the dog to get washed and they had cut nearly 3/4 of the tail off on their cocker spaniel and did not notice under the matted hair... Do NOT do anything like this. Use clippers or ideally pay a professional...

    As a groomer, and owner of a rabbit I groom. This is AWFUL! At least get the proper shears to do it. It's so choppy and uneven but you could practice to get better but not with those scissors. I just kept waiting on an accident to happen. I use shears and thinning shears. Thinning shears help make it blend. Please lord people at home don't cut with any scissors, has to be hair scissors.

      Could you please make a video grooming your rabbit? Or give any recommendations? I don’t find any videos in which I see it properly or feel oriented on how to cut my rabbits hair and make her look pretty. This looks video looks bad. I don’t want my rabbit to look ugly :(

    It sounds like you've entirely based your knowledge of the Angora industry on that PETA video from China. That's not what happens in other countries, especially not in the United States and Europe. Angoras are treated very humanely. That infamous video is of a Chinese Giant Angora that was plucked. That breed should be sheared. I assume they pluck those Angoras because a blunt end takes more processing before spinning. The Giants produce the most wool, but shearing is the price to pay for that. I used to shear my Giant Angoras. They can't moult, so they must be sheared. I would set a comb in between the rabbit and the scissors to make sure I don't cut their skin. English, French, and Satin Angoras moult, so they can be plucked safely. Question:. if you trim your English Angora every two weeks, why not just get a short haired rabbit that doesn't need to be trimmed. It looks like an English Angora. Normally, the fiber is harvested 4 times a year by plucking, with no risk to cut the tail and no risk to cutting skin, and it's comfortable for the rabbit My Angora sits on my lap and eats a snack or fall asleep while I pluck the old coat. As a handspinner, I see this as a ridiculous waste of time and fiber (every 2 weeks? SMH). This will cause matts as it grows out. Maybe you chose an English Angora for it's docile personality, but if you prefer to always keep the coat short, why not just get a docile shorthaired rabbit? It's a rescue, thanks for taking care of it. And you have the right to take care of your bunny how you see fit. But please doyour research before you broadcast judgement on something you don't know about. Angora Rabbits have been around for over 2,000 years. Everything was fine until China took over the industry. But maybe not all Chinese Angora farms are like the one in the horrific video. But still I would encourage people who would like to purchase Angora yarn and finished goods from Etsy or someplace similar, from small cottage industry people who care for their bunnies and produce beautiful items. Angora fiber is wonderful, so soft, comforting and warm. It has saved lives of preterm babies and others. Please don't buy into the propaganda of PETA.

    BRUUUUHHH, WHYYYY?! I don't wanted to sound mean or rude, but ngl, this hair trim cut for your bunny is horrible, it looks like you just shape a memory foam or rising foam into squishy shapes but the texture isn't smooth, it's so bad i can't even- why don't you just take your bunny to a professional grooming vet. WHY.

      it can be costly to have a bunny groamed due to how shy they are. not to mention it can be hard to find ones near some areas that can trim rabbits. even tho it looks bad it will grow out anyways and smooth out

      Came here because I took mine to the vet and they didn’t get the matting off her bum which was why I took her. I’m thinking they’re just as afraid as we are at this point. I’m the future I’m going to use baby wipes I think. It’s not your fault you’re doing the best you can, next time try baby wipes it does help a little without soaking their fur. She lets me do it as I pet her then I use a dry towel and treats.

      @@Lovequalpeace they actually can regulate their body temp fairly well even with long hair. They do better in heat than in cold. She does this all the time and she also mentioned its winter. Its not necessary to cut your rabbits fur up like this. She can also at least use grooming scissors or small pet grooming clippers. If u want to avoid Matt's regular brushing will avoid it. Dont get long haired rabbits if your not willing to take care of its hair properly. It's not recommended to shave house rabbits.

    I'm so sorry for that pity bunny. :(( It is very bad to show a video "how NOT to cut rabbit's hair" as a "how to do it". First of all - whiskers!! Every bunny needs them. When it is necessary to cut hair from bunny's head, we need to be very careful and save the whiskers around the mouth and upon the eyes zones. The second - the exposed rose, very delicate skin. :( Just don't!
    Go to the professional groomer who specialises in bunnies - do not hurt your little one! Yes, I'm a grommer, but also a member of a rabbit shelter staff and a crisis intervention care house. Simply, I know bunny's things.
