Of course, Paul had to be believable as a mobster, so his dad was very hurt by his apparent descent into crime. Never found out how that turned out. Paul reminds me of Matthew Perry.

I didn't realize that many Central time zone CBS stations had to tape delay Y&R by one day in 1980, when CBS moved the show to 1pm/Noon ET and expanded it to one hour. Stations were delaying it so they could keep their local news at Noon, putting Search For Tomorrow at 12:30pm CT. It wasn't until June 8, 1981, that CBS began airing the two current feeds of the show at Noon/11am CT and 12:30/11:30am CT. This allowed both time zones to have their local news at noon with no delays for the show.
I8thumper Terry Lester was great as Jack I loved his expressions and looks. I agree that his role was decreased in favor of Cricket which was a poor move on Mr. Bell’s part.

Love, love Nikki/Melody (iconic ah) but all these clips show one consistent thing- she reeally wanted/wants that damn Emmy!! 😆 Cries on cue... hysterically & massive over acting check! Haha. Clearly, over the yrs she & her acting became waay more subtle. As fab as she is I get now why the Emmy was always elusive for her.
