If the bow is the equivalent of breath control of singers then bowed instruments right arm movements and elevation need to be established 1st. Rt wrist and elbow floating floppyness combined gain control 😢 of tone and agile clear articulation .Left brain hemisphere before right.

String crossing is easy if taught before fingering 😂😂
