This is a comment from one of the witnesses of the match from a joshua schmidt video: "yeah, he drew into enemy controller and arrival with imaginings, with talents and 2 starters in hand. Got rid of 2 interruptions with riumheart eff. Threatened to pop the opponents backrow with planet(super poly) which forced it to be used. Went through all negates and cleared board with access code double astraloud. I was the guy with glasses next to the blonde guy with long hair in stream, saw the whole thing happen, it was beautiful"
OCG designs cards that counter it, TCG actively bans any card that directly or even indirectly support it, and the entire mechanic is doubly nerfed in the TCG.
The important recap is top 8 was 2 blackwing, 1 vayu turbo, 1 zombie hero, 1 fish otk, 1 lightsworn, 1 x saber, 1 diva hero, 1st place was blackwing, 2nd place zombies, fish otk undefeated in swiss
another thing leading to inflation is how easy a new deck is, plus the fact that it's a new deck. the way people equate top cut conversion to "objective power level" or something is really stupid and they do it because they dont have the ability to actually understand how to evaluate cards or understand matchups. if you snapshot any format and had players play on it for a decade+ you'd see radically different metas develop. there are all sorts of factors that affect the speed that a meta develops but no one talks about that shit because everyone's too busy trying to make an authoritative tierlist for people who cant think for themselves who want to put up results without actually learning anything about the game
There absolutely is an objective power level given the time and knowledge in a respective formats advanced legality. I think your gripe lies more in the aspect that most formats do not last forever (time wizard is an exception, not a rule). This means players will only be able to play the decks with the highest % chance to win given the data at hand. Top cut conversion is representative of the top 32-64 players who had the highest amount of match WINS. You gauge a decks power level on its win percentage.
@ it’s considered objective considering the time it would take to test every option vs looking at what performs the best statistically in the data we do have. You just playing semantics at this point cause what is objective can change if the data dictates so. So they are the objective best decks at the moment until data proves other wise.

not sure why so many people ride on triff like for real he is beyond arrogant people think he changed so much and yet he says things like i expected to win as to discount his opponents as a canadian (Like triff) im not that impressed

Latest events dont mean objective best decks. Early on, theyre good meta calls. We need more samples like Edison to get closer to objectivity

No one said that. D barrier is evil.
Is josh still in the ycs?
He's done with the main quest. Now he's enjoying his time with the side quests
"He's said some very stupid things online"
Farfa saying this about somebody else is about as bold as Vlad the Impaler calling somebody cruel.
Two different levels of saying dumb stuff online
@franyard8783 True, I once saw Farfa's twitter page and to this day I still wonder if it was genuine or a very odd social experiment.
The banlist reveal was the best thing.

the fact that you think 270$ is acceptable speaks volumes how brainwashed you are
So we went from a balance top 8 last time to a 2 decks format AGAIN?

We have Sam and Trif. Now we need Gage, Cimo and Farfa to win a YCS

rizzeal is funny
To bad his UA-cam content isnt as good as his playing
Trif played on easy mode. The Tenpai player was god awful. He did not even know Replay rules. And then Trif even flipped Dimensional Barrier.
Wait I’m confused if Farfa is Muslim why does he listen to music? Is that not haram?
