I never knew they mention Giovanni’s surname early on in the story. It definitely shows up later on in the story and acts as easter eggs which I do appreciate retrospectively. ( did not put them together until after the story revealed…)

I've been waiting for UA-camrs to take that mantle xD For someone who has only played the first two chapters so far, I'm impressed at how much you read into things and got right, so I am definitely putting my trust in your channel now. It would be great to get videos that analyze the notes found throughout the world, besides recapping and analyzing the main story, since there is a lot of lore in there.

My fiancée and I have both been playing and digging into lore and story together, so this is very neat to watch and see we aren't alone! :D Excited to see your takes as you go further in.... I was not expecting the links we found between different parts of the game (won't go into it too much, but certain Sovereigns being tied to other story characters directly in ways that made me gasp). There are truly heartbreaking stories hidden in Wishfield, as well as the obviously sweet and delightful ones, if you pay attention! As a fellow lit major, I keep being surprised at the depth presented in what I thought would be a Cute Time Waster Barbie Game™ (also YES GIOVANNI NATIONNNNN 👏👏)
I loved this video, I'm always a fan of long analysis and reading into the tiny details of things (Art major, I'm sure we have some middle ground there lol) I have been playing Nikki games for almost 10 years and I'm so happy that this game got as popular as it did, but sometimes I can feel like nobody looks at it past its surface, more than the "dress up cozy game" that it was advertised as. I have tried watching gameplays, mostly to see people's reactions and thought on the game, and sometimes I find ones that I like, where people show interest in the stories and connect with the characters. But I also found others that didn't care to dig at all at the true core of the game and its messages, sometimes skipping full crucial cutscenes (Which is okay, everyone curates their experience). This videi gave me exactly what I wanted, someone that showed care for the essence of the game, I really hope you can provide more of these videos, I will be waiting eagerly! PS: My favorite character is Giroda! That little guy really pulls at your heartstrings

Hello! I don’t know if you know this already but most of the full outfits (and some secret outfits such as the peach outfit from the bling eating machine) have lore as well! There is a short paragraph in each piece’s description and all together, they form a story!
Loved this! I’ve really been wanting someone to go through and read everything and explore the lore…I just didn’t want to do it lol. I hope you continue this because it’s the only lore video I’ve seen so far!

Great Video, I hope to see the other chapters too. Would also be great if you could talk about the Sovereigns. I assume by now you've seen more of the game's story, but because I don't actually know I'll restrict what I talk about in my comment. So, you've already my third and second favorite characters, aside from Nikki herself. I love Nonoy because she feels very relatable and manages to hold onto positive thoughts despite all the crazy situations she has to go through, and I'm not yet going to say why Giroda is my second favorite. By now you've probably already met my favorite and maybe even understand why I consider them so highly, but I guess I'll see about that in a future video. I've come to actually be ever so slightly disappointed with the way the game handles its story, let me explain. When I went into this I had no expectations. My first impression was, this is some happy go lucky story, people solve their differences with fashion and wishes and dreams make the world go round. I was fine with that. Then I quickly realized there's so much more complexity here. The darker implications of peoples' wishes, religious and political conflicts, war refugees, and more. Also Nikki herself is, as you said, surprisingly mature just very optimistic and good-natured. However, the writers failed at letting us feel the weight of those problems. Sorry if this comes as a spoiler, but even if I didn't say it you could've easily read it between the lines, but bad guys lack depth. There's different flavors of them here, but none are really compelling, and without taking the bad things people do seriously, that complexity of the world is somehow made to feel shallow. That also makes it hard for me to read people. There were so many situations where I was like, "that guy is up to no good" only to be proven wrong. Often it turned out, those people had no bad intentions to begin with, or they were really well adjusted and ready to avoid conflict. At this point I still hope Ena will be a very gray character, and it's not just her mysterious nature that makes her feel so untrustworthy. One last thing, completely different topic, but in hindsight I can say the best way (for me) to experience Nikki is by always picking the wrong options in dialog. That way you can inject a lot more of her personality into the dialogs, and there are no consequences, Momo always saves the day :D My favorite interaction, which you probably didn't see, and because there's no replay feature you won't be able to see for yourself, was during the interrogation of the Wish Envoy. If you chose to let Nikki get distracted by the prospect of an artifact that can fulfill any wish, she'll say something along the lines of "If I could wish for anything, I'd wish girls would never get cramps again." My favorite line in the entire game. Perfectly sums up her character, makes her feel extremely real, and got me laughing hard because I really didn't expect the game to hit me with that.
My theory on Ena and why she looks sad when embracing Nikki is probably because she was holding the heart of infinity for so long and it took a toll on her, and her remark to Nikki about her choosing now to step onto the stage is because Nikki arrived just in time to potentially save Ena or at least take the burden from her.
@@pixelfay She mentioned ‘graduation dance’ in the first cutscene. I infer that she is graduating either high school or university/ college. Age 18-23 is the usual age people graduate.

Little spoiler! Later in the story it is revealed Giovanni’s age (30) so I would ship him with nikki since, like other comment said, she is about 19-23. Also in love nikki it was heavely implied that she is in love with a girl
Too much opinions and thoughts for an analysis. I feel like you didn't play the game fully cuz you haven't even met the dragon, which makes me doubt your knowledge on this topic. I was excited to hear the lore analysis and theories but was kind of disappointed that there wasn't much of that at all. I wish you expanded more on the wishes and stuff because its like the main foundation of the story itself. Depending on the different cultures, they have their own beliefs on the wishmaster and also have their own wishing traditions. I watched till 30 mins before realizing the analysis wasn't really going anywhere. Not that I don't want to hear your opinions but hope the next vid talks more about the story and the world of infinity nikki itself.

I’m sorry if I didn’t make it more clear in the video, but at the time of recording this vid, I had only played through the chapters I covered (1-2). Which means that I did not have context of the whole story or lore we learn moving forward! That’s why it felt like I didn’t have much knowledge on the game bc at the time of recording this (first week of the game’s release) I didn’t! This is a video format I have in all my series where I discuss and speculate what we have discovered thus far at the end of major chapters or acts. Each one of these wrap up vids will build on each other as I record each breakdown at the time of finishing a chapter :> I like to do this bc I personally find it fun to see if what I predicted or thought about a character or concept ended up being right or wrong! I think in shining nikki he claims he's from the momo clan/dynasty? Don't think that's ever elaborated on XD
Nikki's lore is so underrated. The cute characters may give it a childish vibe, but there's honestly so much more to it than just fairies and magic.
