Hello Sandi Great video! May I ask for your assistance. My friend gave me this backpack she made for my granddaughter …. Minus the straps and on have no idea how to put it together given there are 3 DRings. Middle upper and 1 on each side. How long should I make the strap (assuming only one since they will be put through the upper ring. ) My granddaughter is a size L 5 year old. Thank you!
Hello, thanks for your message. Your backpack has no straps at all? Normally you can't sew them on when the backpack is already finished. If you want to watch the video, I'll explain everything exactly how the straps are attached. Unfortunately, since I can't see what your backpack looks like, I can't say what you can do. For the straps you need 2 D rings and 2 sliders. For a 5 year old child, the straps can be about 90 cm. Your will need two straps each 90 cm long. I hope I could help you :) Best regards Viktoria
@@pinsandneedlesx8825 If you want the backpack to keep the same proportion and just get bigger. Then do like that. For example, if I write in the video that the width is 30 cm, you take 30cm * 1.2 and get the new size, which is 20% larger. This is what you do with every size I entered. If you want the backpack to be 50% larger, multiply by 1.5.
The finished bag was lovely but I found the video hard to follow as some of the written measurements were out of focus and it was hard to tell the orientation especially when adding the lining. The addition of a voice over ot written text would be really useful.

Grazie mille! I use fuseble web Vlieseline H630. It does not have to be the same, just something similar ❣
@@LemonDIYcrafts grazie mille per la tua risposta 🩷
What is the white fabric?
Do you mean fusible web. This is ironed onto the fabric so that the backpack has a better shape. You can do it without it if your fabric is thick.
Can i add some width to make it abit wider?
I found it abit too small
Yes you can. You can multiply any measurement I have by 1.2 if you want it to be 20% larger and so on.
@@LemonDIYcrafts i didnt understand 1.2? Please explain to me
