It amazes me that NO ONE ever checks the actual float height. This is an IMPORTANT task when rebuilding these carburetors. You talked about checking it, yet you never did check it.
Hello, tell me, I plan to buy a Kodiak 400 (Big bear 400), if it is carefully operated, just drive without mud and swamps and regularly serviced, then 15,000 km will pass?
@@jimmydavis5951 ebay there are 2 or three different prices and brands I got the 40 dollar one that looked like ths original - the original is the most expensive
@@inglwud5625 thanks for the reply.the original new ones I have seen are like $450 or more waayyyy too much for a carb for me.I got all the stuff to put her back together but cant figure out the throttle cable end that goes inside the carb,it has a plastic piece fitted over the cable but cant see how it suppose to catch inside the carb.any suggestions shoot them to me :)

My carb was so corroded inside I had to order new one- runs great now! These old atvs run forever if you take care of them.
Just bought a 97 Big Bear 4x4 from a buddy for $400 and it just needs a carb,where did you get your carb at?

I'm wondering how to adjust the throttle return spring on 1992 big bear 350? It has been sitting for a few years and the return spring is very tight.
Would it be easier to take the plastic to access the carburetor easyer
Not sure I understand your question. It’s not needed to remove the fenders to remove the carburetor if that Helps.
