- My husband and I recently purchased the Lovesac sectional. We’ve had it for about a month now so I am here to tell you all the pros and the cons about my Lovesac sectional. I’ll also be letting you know if it is worth it and if we’re going keep it or not.

You never mention if it’s actually comfortable or how it feels to sit on it. It’s great info about the purchasing and setting up, but I’m more interested in whether that product is any good for its intended purpose.

Well there are a few different couch filling options.
We went with down and it was super comfortable! But depends on your preferences!
I find it very comfortable. They had, I think three different levels of softness to choose from.

I was wondering if you reccomend a certain fabric for the covers? Other reviews say certain fabrics have started collecting dust and particles really heavily and doesnt come off with a vaccum. They also start coming a part which is a concern.

Hello I was there last night. I personally like the standard for the firmness and we also have children. We were told the feather one will break down the fastest over a period of time.

We got the more firm cushions and they are very comfy but still hold their shape well. I feel like the other cushion were to soft and we sunk to much. Also the more firm cushions are less expensive.

Other questions: Is it soft and comfy enough? Which padding option did you pick? Have you had to clean the fabric yet? Do you think it be hard/cumbersome to remove the fabric or is that a worthy trade off for easy cleaning? Is it a worthy napping couch? How often do you rearrange it?
We go the standard padding and it's very comfortable. My husband and I have fallen asleep on it a number of times and we even had a guest sleep on it. As for cleaning the fabric, we did have to clean a small spot once and it was really easy to clean. The process of taking off the cover and putting it back on was a little hard but totally worth it. When we first got it we setup it up as 3 seats and 1 foot rest but quickly realized it was a little to long for the area we had it in, so we changed it to 2 seats and 2 foot rest.
Dang when I bought mine 4 years ago they didn't have the top storage option. That's awesome! I got the standard foam and after 4 years of everyday use it still feels brand new no wear at all. My cats try their hardest to claw the fabric but the velvet cover is claw resistant.

What fabric did you get? We are between the padded velvet and corded velvet. We have a 1.5 year old and it is going in a rec room/basement.
The padded velvet and corded velvet are amazing with kids! The padded velvet does attract heat and the corded velvet is a breathable fabric which make it really easy to wash out any stain.
Thanks for the review - I’m thinking about ordering one thanks to the medical professionals discount they have going on right now. Which fabric did you get (sorry if i missed that) and do you have pets? I have 2 dogs so I want to make sure whatever I end up with holds up well for them.
I got tan combed chenille. I don't currently have any pets but I have a messy husband lol. He spilled tea on it the other day and it was super easy to clean and get out.
Jennifer Whitter We are moving to a bigger place and I was thinking of getting one with the medical professional discount too. My cousin has had one for years and loves it. She has two young kids and two dogs and it has kept up very well.
Jennifer, we've had ours for about 5 years, we've purchased new covers a couple of times (its nice to have spares). We have 3 dogs and one was a puppy when we got her. Washing the cushions is a breeze and it's held up very nice.

It's a highly functional model. Sectionals are almost always a safe bet due to their high functionality, especially if they have storage. My wife and I just bought a Bellini sofa from Manhattan Home Design and since it's a modular sofa we can transform it however we want, but we want to add the ottoman to it to make it a sectional as that's the most comfortable option. I I bought 7 bases and plenty of sides with love soft fill. Don't want to comment what I spent on it. 1 yr in cushions i sit on are definitely breaking down. Feel like the back pillows lack fill. Wish i would have taken it back
What kind of filler did you guys choose?
You missed a huge thing, you didn't show it assembled. Would have liked to see more footage of the couch completed and how you access storage when completed. Talking head footage and product footage should at least be 50/50 in my opinion
How comfortable is this love sacrifice couch and how deep are the seats
I own a ton of sactional pieces. You can configure the seats to be deep seated. You need to get a special end piece that is smaller than normal. We did this and it's 👌.
It's harder to change the covers on the pieces that the lovesac videos show. If you have a LOT of pieces removing all the covers are a chore and you can work up a sweat.
Nothing beats this if you have pets though. If they have an accident on the couch its a super easy cleanup. We have spare covers to replace while others are being washed.

The other “negative” I would say is the price, this stuff isn’t cheap.

I got the standard and so happy I did. It's so comfy but still holds it shape.

donna curtin I got their Standard Foam. The other fills weren’t firm enough for me.
They didn’t label that one bc it is process of elimination which in turn saves them $$$ by not printing ONE label “per items/sides” ordered. It’s Young Business:101 to cut as much overhead as possible.

Thanks for this review. We are moving into a new home that will be a rental home in a year or so. This seems perfect to take with us. One question, how comfortable is it and is the material soft?
It's so comfy and the fabric is really soft. My husband and I have fallen asleep on our couch a number of times because of how comfy it is.

Would have liked to have seen more of the product (and less of you), what different options did you try other than just the two, and how does it get put together, that wasn't very clear. You never said whether it was comfortable or not. Is it easy enough to change around on an as-needed basis, say when people come over?

Julie Hartwell yes I am I have been on the ropes but when I weigh out the options I just see so many advantages to having one. For example in your video, when you needed to change from a 3 seat to 2.
Thinking about buying , Have you tried washing any of the covers yet do they still fit after washing or do they shrink and not fit properly after ?
I have only hand washed as we had one very small stain. Obviously the cover still fit after that but I haven't washed in the washing machine yet.

But absolutely nothing about this couch is worth $4,000-$5,000. IMO.
This is the couch of my dreams.
I know the fabric is washable.
My only concerned is if liquids go through the cover and actually mess up the cushions?? (potty traing twins)
That's a great question. This is what they told me but you should also call one of the stores and ask them as I am sure they can provide you more information.
"Should your Sactionals Insert ever need cleaning, do not attempt to unzip or remove the fabric. Instead, just spot treat any dirt or stains and allow to air dry."

You have convinced me, do you have yours set up as deep or standard seating? and if it's deep seating do you need special sides?
Yay! I have it set up deep and for that setup we needed to get 4 regular sides and one deep side. However, it all depends on how many bottom pieces you're going to get. I would either go into the store or call and they can help you more on exactly what you need.

A lack of labeling is annoying but definitely not a negative. You can literally just take the cover out and look at it to see which piece it goes to. They are all different.

Why would you say it's a two-person job! There are so many videos out there of one person setting up the couch in different configurations very easily. You could easily do with one person
Wasn't labeled because there were four of one type and one of the other. The fact you say you figured it out scares me.

8:20 I think the more likely thing that happened is that the sticker fell off. During the moving process of all of those pieces the stickers can catch anything and once there’s a tiny piece showing it’ll rip right off once it touches something. They probably only qc the stuff before it is at the boxing stage so they will never notice the sticker being gone.
We love ours. It was a workout to put together, I won't lie. It is also not cheap. But it is solidly built. You can wash the covers though I'm sure that won't be fun after putting it together. But 10 years from now, you can buy new ones, different colors if you wish.

Btw you should have planned the video ahead of time and wrote down ALL the factors of the couch. A big one being COMFORT which you did Not talk about as well as the fabric/dealing with messes.and and you didnt show the end result. It helps when you do reviews to show alot for the eyes.just a friendly suggestion

WOW! What an amazing review. Le joules, you may want to consider rating the comfort of the couch on your next review. Ok, it’s easy to get into place, some storage, early shipping, but don’t you buy a couch for it’s comfort? I’m considering this thing...tell me about fabric? Other reviews talk about pilling. I’m also concerned about holding up to a puppy who likes to bury her chew sticks in the sofa....
We got the tan combed chenille and it's great. When at the store we asked about pilling and there was a fabric they told us to stay away from because of pilling. If you call the store and ask they can give you more information.
@@JulieHartwell According to other reviews, it may be the Poly-Linen fabric that has bad pilling.

The price is absurd.
It's not cheap. A few months in though we've found it easy to clean, slobbery Doxy stuff wipes right off. You can also remove the cloth and wash it and even buy new colors if your style changes. The bones are very solid. We've been very happy. We'd probably buy 3-4 couches over the time we have these.

I'm sorry I can't focus on anything but the eyebrows. I'm trying my best but one is thicker and lower than the other one,and the thinner higher one has more of an arch! @Jason L, did you buy one? why are you saying that? i am looking for a sofa and was considering this. most reviewers on you tube have links to the product site. they make money for every click. BBB does not give the company of this product good grades. they are extremely expensive and at that price i expect top quality. it took them a couple of months just to send me the swatches. that was after i kept saying i was interested in buying. the material is not very thick. except the padded velvet which has a pad under the velvet. it's not made in the USA it's made in China. at least that is what i saw on the makers videos. now i am unsure what i will do. hope you see this and can tell me why you feel as you do about this product
