Another magnificent performance of a Philippine Sacred Music. Another technical milestone in audio and video recording. Congratulations to all the people in front and behind the scene.
This was the contest piece for NAMCYA for the children's choir. I miss my brother, the late Manuel Eco, who founded/organized/trained GINTONG SIYAP CHILDREN CHOIR in Bacon, Sorsogon.
What a moving and joyfully uplifting performance Alejandro. It's glorious. I just listened to it three times and having found a pdf of the original score I am going to transcribe it for organ. Am I correct that it means something like 'Sing Happily'? I wish that I had come across it years ago when i had a children's choir!

UMAWIT KANG MASAYA
Umawit kang masaya (2x)
Sa Panginoon O sangkalupaan
Paglingkuran ang Panginoon
Ng may kagalakan (2x)
Paglingkuran ang Panginoon
Humarap sa kanya ng may masayang awitin
Kilalanin niyong ang Panginoon ay Diyos
Ginawa niya tayo, tayo ay kanya (2X)
Tayo ay kanya (2X)
Ang kanyang bayan inaalagaan niya
Pumasok kayo sa kanyang mga pintuan
Na taglay ang pasasalamat
Sa kanyang mga kalooban
Na taglay ang papuri
Magpasalamat, (2X)

Beautiful!
Thank you, Rien!

Bravo!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you, Camilo!
Splendid piece and rendition. Parry’s “I was Glad” has found its worthy opponent
Parry is different and they are both beautiful in different ways.
Technically, it should be Ralph Vaughan Williams's arrangement of "Old Hundredth," but anthem-wise, yes.
Splendid Maestro Alejandro!
Thank you!

Thank you, Colin. It is from Psalm. Sing Joyfully to the Lord all ye Lands. Serve the Lord with gladness, come to his presence with singing.
