  • Aerial drone flying over Texarkana , Texas/Arkansas provided a great aerial view of this pretty city as it spans both states. This was my first time to stop in this city and enjoy the area - I will return when back-roading this way again 😎
I hope you enjoy and subscribe to this UA-cam drone channel while seeing my travels from an aerial view above nature, towns and cities in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, US, Canada, and several islands @ / jamesbebop . Or please visit my photo website with photos of 49 countries/islands, all 50 states and all but one province in Canada that I could not drive through at www.JGlowacki.com . I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.
Please share your thoughts with me; even if they are not easy to read, I need to know how I am meeting your expectations 😊
    Thank you,
    James

I grew up in Texarkana and live a quarter of a mile from the park where the movie was made. The town that dreaded Sundown. My mother use to clean houses there for the rich people in the 50s,and 60s. The talk around town was a wealthy family son has responsible for those murders. People knew that he was unstable but the police was afraid to investigate the son fear of retribution. Many of the house maids knew a lot of the terrible secrets of things that happened during those days.but wont say anything about what they heard in fear or being fired or worst.

@@JamesBeBop I feel so bad now lol, sorry we looking to move to texarkana from Tacoma, from all my drone flights I could never scratch the surface of Tacoma, and last time I drove through there it was 21 years ago.. I know your limited on height, how much of the city would you say you captured

    • @JamesBeBop
      @JamesBeBop  3 роки тому

You are great Nicholas - I only captured what I enjoyed of the rail area and some of the historical architecture of the downtown. I would say I captured about 20% downtown detail and overall about 40% of downtown. I would suggest you drive there and spend at least one weekend day and one week day to see the outdoor activity and character of the city. Also repeat this for the evening to evaluate safeness and overall openness of both the city and where you hope to live. My background make these things a must and I hope you consider this time and investment for you future 😎

@@nicholashands9856 I’m not sure why you’d want to move here. Most neighborhoods are run down and junky. Downtown had a building falling out into the road. They’ve tried to revive the downtown area and so far it’s alive. Most jobs are minimum wage. People go nuts over new eating places that go out of business within a year or less. Since most here are on fixed income or minimum wage they can’t afford much more than McDonald’s or Wendy’s. If they’re lucky to be out by interstate where they pick up traffic going through they have a chance. A big shopping center was out in across from the mall. Mall is dying and the new place has empty stores.
Water utilities just voted themselves a raise. Last I heard it cost more to flush toilet than to drink a gallon of water. Something like $30 water usage and $50 to let it drain for a total of $80 bill? That doesn’t include trash pickup and taxes on the bill also.
Most doctors are affiliated with Collin & Carney clinic. God forbid they mess up your billing, you will have to give up your first born to pay it off. Oh and if you ask WHERE the charges come from?? They don’t know, they’re in a new system and can’t recover the original bill. Some guy had to pay for his Pap smear even tho he told them he never had a Pap smear and wasn’t able to have one. Didn’t matter. He owed that bill. They will hit you up with bills from 30-40 years ago from when you were a kid. My husband had a bill of less than $8 from 1972. He was 13 years old and his parents who made sure they paid every bill no matter what were shocked to hear about the bill. They had no clue. His father went and paid it. My daughter paid in full her bill only to be hit over a year later with a $100 charge that no one out there had any clue where it came from. It was in the “old billing system and they couldn’t access it.” Funny how she was never billed for it but had to pay if she wanted to see any doctors there.
Crime is rising. It’s been bad but getting worse.
People that move here tell me the cost of living is higher than where they came from. And the choices of where to buy food/clothing is limited almost to Walmart super center or Walmart neighborhood store.
So think long and hard before you move into one of the most depressed towns/counties in Arkansas. Legal system is who you know and how much money you have. Attorneys and judges are all uncles/aunts/sons/daughters/cousins/etc and never seem to get voted out.

Might not been as big a deal in 2019 but they coming down on folks! Its a guy on UA-cam his is monitized and he doesn't have his 107. The FAA called him up! Luckily they told him to get it and how. But during COVID the FAA put people stuck in offices to work looking for violations on UA-cam!

@@JamesBeBop something I forgot. That Radio Tower. Not a good idea to fly near one. If its transmitting when you fly by it could very easily knock out GPS or affect electronics. Thus causing a crash!
Loosing live video to me is just part of the hobby but of course loose it too. I wouldn't advise getting that close though. Even though their transmitter should be VHF or UHF in close proximity anything can jam a signal if its strong enough.
Its multiple ways to jam. The obvious is on the same freq. But something far from the freq you are if strong enough will cause Desensing. Loosing its receive is what happens. Or degraded. Just depends on how close in freq and how much power. The more powerful a transmitter is the further is can be off in freq and still affect a receiver.
If it knocked out GPS hopefully the other sensors would keep it aloft. But if the energy caused a CPU or chip to crash / reboot or act up its going down! I wouldn't want to loose mine and all I have is the Mavic Mini.
That one looks like a 2 way radio or repeater tower. They don't transmit much these days like they use to. You know back before cell phones its all we had. But now days some radios sit it silence all day! But still not worth the risk.
Just a heads up. I been a Ham since 1992. For what its worth. =]
