Young(ish) dude here, mostly with regards to fishing because I had such a long break. Been watching for a bit and commented a few times but just want to say I really like your demeanor and overall approach. You really possess the teacher like vibe that I think people will respond to most positively. So many fishing youtube channels out there but I genuinely feel like you have something unique to offer. Thanks for the tips!
There was this old time guide I knew on Lake Eufaula, Alabama. He told me you only need two fishing poles. One pole rigged with a long texas rig worm and another pole with a big spinnerbait. He said if the bass were “active” throw the spinnerbait. If the bass were “inactive” throw the texas rig.
I love trig worms. I've fished them ever since I was a kid because they were so cheap and I was poor. I love that they're weedless and you can fish them in lots of nasty snaggy spots.
My most reliable retrieve up here in Wisco is like your pulling but more to the side, dragging it along the bottom but through a weed bed. Works best in not TOO heavy of weeds but just enough where itll start to get stuck and then just POP out even with a smooth, even pull. Works really good for those of us in a kayak or on shore where even a depth finder is out of the question so you have no clue whats down there...once you hit the edge is the best since its free to dart farther away. Works great withba shakey head too!
I fish a Texas rig all summer long. I always have a rod set up specifically for it. This summer I've absolutely killed it on the 10 inch curly tail worm. Old school or not it out fishes everything else I throw throughout the summer months. If you aren't fishing it this way you are missing out.
Awesome video!!! I love these kinds of videos I’m somewhat of a beginner and these are the ones that help me the most maybe you can do another one on pitching and flipping well mainly pitching lol thanks bud
you be dropping the knowledge , i like you channel, when i be out fishing i think about the tips i learned from your channel and i be catching em so i thank you keep dropping the knowledge
Swimming a worm has produced well for us.. Just a straight retrieve with a 10" Ol Monster. I thought for sure that was gonna be #6 ha. Tight lines Randy 🤘
The zoom mag to worm and the old monster to my favorite worms one of my favorite post spawn baits and I have been catching a lot of bass on them this summer!
Excellent video I’ve been stuck on green pumpkin black flake senko for years with the same retrieve method because it works This is a good reminder to change it up a bit Thank you
Hey Randy thanks for the great info because I want to learn how to be a better big worm fisherman. Keep these great videos coming bud . I'm eating up the info awesome bro. God bless.
Really good video Randy, thanks! I was checking out your nice new tackle room and was wondering, what is a “WOW Crawler”? Saw it on one of your Plano boxes on the shelves.
Is it me or is the stretchy plastic a fish detomrant ,I’ve yet to catch a bass on any of the plastic bait I’ll stick with plastisol scented or power bait
Big secret here: I have a friend that had a 9 pound bass in a aquarium and when he dropped a plastic worm in there and hopped it the fish wouldn’t even look at it but when he dropped the worm and just let it sit still for one whole minute and then barely twitched the worm the bass would devour the worm.
I’ve caught more fish on a good ole mag 2 or ole monster than anything else. I’ll go behind guys using chatterbaits, creature baits, etc…. And wax ass.

Don't forget that ol monster with no weight or not, over heavy weeds. Red and black on Marion Santee. Heart stopping.
“Eventually they just get angry and bite that thing.”
Thats how I caught the majority of my fish… and my wife
Ive caught 90% of my fish this summer on a big ribbon tail worm! Great video!
What about doing some videos on the water catching fish?
I ripped them on Bull Shoals the other night on the Ole Monster with a 3/16 ounce sinker.
Thank you for the demonstration

I use that same retrieve down here in Florida, too.

Randy, if I may suggest, it's time for a big aquarium for you to demonstrate lures
Glad to see MLF mainly going for large mouth at stage 7
Real fishing
The zoom mag to worm and the old monster to my favorite worms one of my favorite post spawn baits and I have been catching a lot of bass on them this summer!
My neighbors put a video of me on Facebook fishing in our pool, I try all my baits to test their action. I guess they thought it was funny.😂

Thank you
Good video, I fish the worm all the time and enjoy setting the hook on a big bass.
Randy you'd be a deadly flounder guy with those techniques and the right jig. And your Texas rigged worms would work too.
Videos like this. Good info worth watching

Great vid Randy! Your a Legend! You da man!
Sometimes , that branch above the water you cast over . Shake it on top and you may be surprised ! I call that squirrel fishin' !
I’d really like to hear your thoughts on the P5 rods, maybe a a breakdown on the rods to use like you did with the Orochi rods
They’re the real deal, some of my favorite rods I’ve ever used. The FMJ is the best jig rod I’ve ever used.
Awesome video! What size line do you use for plastic worms and what power rod?
Atta boy Randy!!!!!
Damn Great video Dude
I catch more bass on Texas rig worm than any other method. It’s probably because of confidence in it so I fish it more
i like that curly tail worm...which one is it?
I think it's a Zoom Ol Monster.
I have more faith in a plastic worm than anything else if I'm being honest.
@@Nate_Higgins makes sense being that its a natural forage along with bugs, rats etc. and easy for them to catch vs. baby fish of any kind.
Randy,
Why do you not wear the clothing on your vids that you have for sale on your site ?
I just found out what pike are capable of, three stitches for forgetting my pliers, at least the fish is ok, damn are their teeth sharp.😂

Great techniques, have U ever fished Patoka lake in Southern indiana?
Why would randy ever want to fish in Indiana?
Yes I have
I thought maybe u have...thanks for getting back to me...enjoy ur weekend :)
@@carlschildtknecht762 u mean besides the fact southern indiana is beautiful?... well u make a good point...so many places to fish...so little time :)
Monroe is better.
I’ve caught more fish on a good ole mag 2 or ole monster than anything else. I’ll go behind guys using chatterbaits, creature baits, etc…. And wax ass.
A "real fishing" video.
Rumor has it, they are coming out with a green pumpkin Livescope......gonna be very popular with the "pros"
Why not actually do these on the water?
