Troy, Katie and Duke are going to be the death of this team being successful.

Mike needs to restructure the front office and remove Katie and Troy from having anything to do with any actual active negotiations ... even after he is gone. I'd much rather Mike do negotiations than them... they are too much like David Mulugheta
Fans need to start blaming the correct people and put the Blackburns on the constant hotseat they have earned
If it wasn't for them and their choice of personal/professional interactions than Whitworth said he would've stayed. They were both unhappy with Mike's choice to extend Whitworth for a year and they let him know instead of handling it better and recognizing they wer wrong since he was still playing at an elite level

14:30 The Blackburns could definitely benefit from some public relations training. You can't operate like Paul did in 1973. It's a different world. What they don't understand is their silence allows fans and the media to drive the narrative. They totally lose control of the message, which then creates animosity with the players, which then makes negotiations even more contentious.

Thank you. But it started way before 1973. Carried over from Marion Motley Otto Graham paul browns in 1950s. Before anyone even imagined u could stream games on cellphones

With Bates, I heard the offer was very close to what Bates accepted in Atlanta... and Bates even said at his locker that he couldn't leave $10M on the table... so supposedly Bengals offer slightly more per year but $10M less in guarantees across the life of the contract. So Bates could've taken it if he really wanted to stay but also the Bengals could have offered 5M more in guaranteed... but it sounded like mulugheta was negotiating in bad faith and talking to teams when he wasn't suppose to... that they had agreed on terms with Bengals and then mulagheta supposedly kept getting Atlanta to just keep upping their price which he wasn't suppose to be negotiating with Atlanta bc bates wasn't a free agent (they were only suppose to negotiate with Bengals) but Mulugheta was treating it like free agency
Any negotiator worth their salt knows a "low ball offer" is just a starting point and are being paid to shield their player from all the nasty negotiation tactics... but some agents just use it as an excuse to persuade the player to bc they have a easier and higher offer elsewhere
But also, Mulugheta needs to learn how to negotiate with negotiators that are as ruthless as he is... I think Mulugheta took a "low ball offer" as an excuse to preach to his players all kinds of negatives about Bengals ... bc Mulugheta appeared to have already started negotiations with other teams that he liked or were easy to negotiate with for him (aka he didn't have to do too much actual negotiating lol)
I say Troy Blackburn is the David Mulugheta of the Bengals... they both are ruthless and they both stink at their jobs... unless all you care about is money ... both will go nuclear bc they act like they don't care how it affects the players and the team

They're just bad at this. They shouldn't be running a professional football franchise. This is the problem with nepotism.

Burrow definitely looked exhausted from media row and the constant repetitive questions. Some interviews were less repetitive

I cant imagine negotiating with troy blackburn is gonna be much of an adversary. He'll probably handle it first few months then He'll be ordered by Mike or Katie to "step aside we got it from here..go get us more coffee"

Let's face it. You have to be able to run he ball and control both lines. TheBengals don't. Zac wants to score a lot of points and hope we win. Fix the defense and run the ball.

So did Burrow and Ja'Marr... but hopefully that changes since they got historic stats this year ... and Joe just said he'd give back some of his stats for wins

Better line by Snoop would have substituted a diss ob his oline protection. Using "defense" was the dud. The Bat Mobile isnt a "defense" thing

Remember the "ron torbert" theory. When it happens late Sunday night i only ask for..."how did u know that ahead of time " Dont even need bar tab as award. Just some WOWS would be fine. Watch its coming no other explanation why incompetent " Ron Torbert" would be given another SB so quickly on merit. There MUST be a second level explanation. We shall see?

To much Ivy League mentality. Tobin is a poor representation from ownership. Their optics always create drama. They have the revenue. Boneheads!
