A bit older video and a very good one at that. Good channel. Those are unripe BLACKBERRIES.... (Edit- because I called them blueberries.....typo...LOL). I live in North Georgia and forage quite often. I'm an avid gold prospector trying to learn more about rocks, gems, and minerals. Take care.
Bumping this comment - unripe blackberries! When blackberry season hits, they’re all over the place and it’s good eating! Watch out for muscadine grapes as well
I found scorpions in ga some faint gold quartz. I finally after moving to NC sble to camp ky tenn and ga agatized fossils ky some banded sunset agate my first but the corals red jasper so cool i gotta go mtns Georgia probably creeks steams great video real spectacular banding.
Yeah, wild raspberries. I had some growing on a homestead property once. They are delicious. I would suggest getting some ripe berries if u ever go back and plant.
It’s like Haunted Ridge South! Definitely very cool stuff there man! It’s fascinating to compare quartz. there were multiple hydrothermal events across the southeast United States. It’s crazy I can see the similarities in agate crystals and geodes from Georgia and Missouri. The different bedrock produced different formations. Very cool when you start comparing the material. If you’re ever back in Missouri I’ll have to take you to the crazy geode creek I found. It’s right by my house!!!
Lol I live right down the road from where you're hunting in this video. I have tons of beautiful spotted and lacey agates from there. The place was a much better spot around 2012. And yes, those are black berries.
Okay, the Borat “very nice” cracked me up! Beautiful agates!! I’m in Tennessee and usually hunt in the creeks in Kentucky, but I didn’t know there were such gorgeous agates in north Georgia! Wow! I’ll have to check out some creeks down there. Would you mind telling me what county you were in? I’m not going to find your dig spot, I promise! I like only creeks and rivers. Very nice (say in Borat voice) video! Subbed! 👍🏼
Lol very nice! This was in Chattooga County. I'll be up in NC later this week, but not gonna get a chance to hunt much lol just a relaxing trip this time with the wife and my mom. May slip over to Tennessee and hunt a couple hours lol not sure yet tho
Can you post a tutorial video for how you polish the Georgia agate??? I've tried so many different ways but it just falls apart in my tumblers and when I try to do it by hand. It definitely seems softer than other agate.
Hey, I just found your channel & subbed. Just happened to be searching for Georgia agate information. Any chance that quarry is public? I recently moved south & would love to get my hands on some of that material
Yeah, if you ever do a private dig I would definitely try to go, I’m over by diamond hill in SC, so Georgia isn’t too far, it only took me like an hour to get to Graves mountain
14:50 I think those red streaks are limonite pseudomorph similar to Haunted Ridge. I’m finding that same limonite pseudomorph in some of the geodes by my house too
I have no idea. Nobody has been able to identify it yet. The guy I know that used to work there said him and the owner have seen similar pieces while digging with the machines, but nothing the size I found. Amazing find anyway. I love it.
Nice! I ran into one of my subscribers there once as I was driving out and said hey as I left lol they didn't realize it was me til I drove off. Maybe I'll see ya out there one day!
I would love to have some of that material. All of your toss aways would look great on my shelf LOL but seriously I'll pay you if you want to collect some for me and send them my way? Maybe?
If I ever sell any, it'll be in my fb group "Rockhounds World-Wide" lol I actually posted one I cut open a while back. Haven't had too much time to mess with this material since I've been so busy with everything else 😕
They Blackberries that ain't ripe. Raspberries have red hairs and no thorn on the bracks. The stuff that looks kinda like it's been in a fire. Is it really chalky and brittle? It looks like soda does when in contact with vinegar
The material is from way deep in the ground and was exposed because of an earthquake event a long time ago. That's why it's close enough to the surface to where they're hitting it
Those are blackberries I live in Dahlonega Georgia and I am fortunate to have about 20 acres to explore on and I never ran out of crystals it's amazing there's Garnet quartz I have found pieces of quartz with kyanite tourmaline and agate found a few arrowheads everyone here looks for gold but I just want the freaking quartz
I am in the East hermitage mining district we bought 5 acres on top of Armstrong mountain and are surrounded by multiple mines ... my neighbors have also found opal
Nice Vid and cool agates! I was wondering were in Georgia did you mine the agates?

I need to get to slicing some up for sure! Lol just been going coral crazy lately! 🤪

Yes they're going to be epic bro!
Looks like a great hunt to me!!

@Bercus could you tell us around where y’all are riding those agates? Or maybe close?
Omg you're in rockhound heaven!!!
Graves mountain in NE Georgia is rockhound heaven 😀 check out my 2 videos from there lol
Wow. I am in South Florida. We don't have good spots like this.
That's some really nice material!! Crazy lace isn't too common in my area so it's really cool to see how it's formed!!
It's some pretty wild stuff. Love going up there when I'm in the area

they're blackberries 😂

Oh wow nice! I thought the crazy lace agate was only found in Mexico!
I've found same quality in Missouri too. Place called haunted ridge rocks. It's a public dig site
Who makes that pick tour using
It's an Estwing rock pick
Seems like they may be the only company that makes that style of pick
It's blackberries that have not ripened yet. I live in Rome, Ga. not far from where you are.
Thank you. I thought they looked similar to the blackberries we picked as kids
Yooo hey! I also live in rome. Have any good hunting spots?
I thought the only place there was crazy lace was mexico.Mexico.
That is nice stuff.
Thank you 😊 I've found some really nice ones there
Dennis the Agate Menace!! Enjoyed the vid ! What were they mining there?? KEEP EM COMIN DOOD!!
They mine construction material there or something. Not sure really. They use it for base for building I think
The schnozzberries taste like schnozzberries.
Ha! 😎

what a difference between north and south georgia, i have to find ANY rock of any kind where i live, its all clay and sand.
