What I really like from this drama is how the characters are undeniably fragile. They look like they are going to break anytime. The fragility is what gets me so hooked. They flaunt their strength around, because they need to be a bigger person, and yet, one genuine look between them, and they broke into pieces. Its just so interesting to see.
I feel like she does know and may have known for a while. There was a scene of her mom's hallucination where she mentions about killing the prince and that may have been the reason why she purposely showed him the dead butterflies. Which is possibly to drive him away to keep him safe??
The use of light house here is so romantic. They are each other’s light house. They guide each other with their light during the darkest and stormy nights. Like a lighthouse, sturdy and strong, they make each other feel safe in each other’s arms. The best couple in kdrama I’ve seen

This is a very mature story despite the characters seeming eccentric at first. I am in awe at how the actors bring out the vulnerability and raw human emotions through the exteriors. Before episodes 3 and 4, I thought MunYeong was so stiff but the moment something real happened and her real feelings were hurt, her expressions changed ever ever so slightly.. the subtle sorrow in her eyes showed that everything else, the fancy clothes and the hardened exterior, was just a facade. She's just a human being. With real feelings. She just can't express them with strangers she can't trust. I fell in love with MunYeong. And I'm a girl and GangTae is fine as hell. Hehehe.. she's amazing. I love the acting in this show... they really take character development very seriously. Kudos to the director and actors.

1:29 Personally, I find that the rain represents her non-existent tears or that she is hiding her tears with the rain, to see someone come back for her when all everyone did was leave her growing up, I mean her own father tried to kill her, as she saw that Gang-tae was actually looking for her, she wanted to express her relief as much as her sadness. The rain falls on her face in a way that makes it look like it's her tears and either those were raindrops, or she is covering her tears up with the rain, she is in too much of a shock to actually express anything and she normally doesn't express her sadness but you can see the gratitude and the "what a relief" look on her face after she smiles because no one has ever shown that much care for her. Everyone either wants to have sex with her, get her signature, or kill her, but no one has actually come back for her. I hope the plot doesn't get boring cause this is such a good drama.

You know what separates phenomenal acting from great acting? Great acting makes you feel the emotions based how they deliver their lines. However Phenomenal acting makes you feel thousands of emotions without even delivering a single word.

everything about this scene is already perfect, just as all of us who have watched can really feel. especially the emotion in Kang Tae's eyes and how Moon Young's smile was full of relief when she realized that after everything, the only one who would come to her and comfort her is Kang Tae. and she could finally let go all the hardship that she has carried for so long, knowing for sure that her safety pin is here and he would embrace her shattered soul and put it back together. that was why she collapsed into his arms. and how Kang Tae's hands were tentative at first, but then he decided to embrace her. two lonely souls that have been longing to be loved, finally found each other. one more thing, i just love the idea of the lighthouse so so much. when they met under the pouring rain in darkness, at this exact moment 1:22, the light of that lighthouse from afar engulfed them both. the meaning of a lighthouse is to shine a light in darkness, to give hope and guide the way. that's so perfectly fit for Kang Tae and Moon Young. they will light up each other and heal each other.
I love how this drama consistently inserts scenes where nothing much is happening, just heavenly music, intense gazes, close up shots, and beautiful backdrops. It just soak you into certain moment and emotion. Can't wait for the next episodes.

I think that Moon Young liked Kang Tae When they were kids the only problem was Kang Tae was always running away when Moon Young Shows her true self to him that’s why Moon Young called him a coward until now. It’s my only opinion based on what i understand in the story.
I don't think it's her true self. Especially when you relate her killing those butterflies, to the hyung thinking the butterflies will kill them, idk I think there is some relation here.
He was scared to see her true self when they were kid 😂 Somehow i can understand why kangtae want to runaway from moonyoung on 2nd ep. His life is not easy. He don't need another problem to add. But on 3rd ep, we can see how go moonyoung change his mind. Go moonyoung with her realistic minf know that he want to be happy and free but he keep saying that he don't need anything except his brother. That's why she called him a coward and hypocrite.
Actually that's the weakness of the story, like they don't need to make a story about childhood love like that, in my opinion it's too much. I like the way they tell a story about mental health issue but childhood love is too mainstream in kdrama so far. In fact you will see children to be a closefriend than lovers.

I've watched A LOT of dramas for many years now and up until now this has ti be one of the best kdramas I've watched It's completely not cliché but tells a very deep and realistic story between two special people who's circumstances make it hard for them to love or let alone understand love. It not only educates us on psychology but also shows us love from a completely different perspective and how difficult it can be for some people. Given these aspects there's also going to be a lot of character development which I'm really curious about. I absolutely love it rn I've never seen another romance kdrama like this
This drama is so Cinematic, and the cinematography is so 3rd person not those crane and drone shot cinematography. The 3rd person perspective makes it so much more immersive.
For people like me who have been in depression , I know its a golden drama in the history of kdrama. It needs a lot of gutts to make a drama on a topic which is neglected by people all over the world. Thankyou so much for making it and kim seo hyun and soe ye ji have really done their BEST ! This drama feels relatable. Many people in the world have mental issues but are scared of coming out because people will judge them. I absolutely love the role of FL. She seems very strong, rude and powerful. But actually is very fragile. ML seems very reserved type of person but he actually wants to be free, have fun and most importantly wants to be loved. I want to see what happens when the Story unfolds. This drama got me hooked in the very first part of the drama. The cinematography and editing of this drama are aesthetically pleasing.

This is a very mature story despite the characters seeming eccentric at first. I am in awe at how the actors bring out the vulnerability and raw human emotions through the exteriors.
Before episodes 3 and 4, I thought MunYeong was so stiff but the moment something real happened and her real feelings were hurt, her expressions changed ever ever so slightly.. the subtle sorrow in her eyes showed that everything else, the fancy clothes and the hardened exterior, was just a facade. She's just a human being. With real feelings. She just can't express them with strangers she can't trust.
I fell in love with MunYeong. And I'm a girl and GangTae is fine as hell. Hehehe.. she's amazing. I love the acting in this show... they really take character development very seriously. Kudos to the director and actors.
I have never been so into a kdrama like this ever before. Talk about a powerful chemistry between these two. I really look forward to seo ye ji to come on screen 😍

1:29 Personally, I find that the rain represents her non-existent tears or that she is hiding her tears with the rain, to see someone come back for her when all everyone did was leave her growing up, I mean her own father tried to kill her, as she saw that Gang-tae was actually looking for her, she wanted to express her relief as much as her sadness.
The rain falls on her face in a way that makes it look like it's her tears and either those were raindrops, or she is covering her tears up with the rain, she is in too much of a shock to actually express anything and she normally doesn't express her sadness but you can see the gratitude and the "what a relief" look on her face after she smiles because no one has ever shown that much care for her.
Everyone either wants to have sex with her, get her signature, or kill her, but no one has actually come back for her. I hope the plot doesn't get boring cause this is such a good drama.
I also wish..that there should not be such a twist where everybody hates it all of a sudden....anyways...ur explanation was so good...this perspective of u was very fabulous...and this drama is rocking with just 4 episodes

I read someone say that the rain could symbolize Kang Tae’s sadness too. There’s a few flashbacks of young Kang Tae with the rain on the background so they’re both sheltering each other.

everything about this scene is already perfect, just as all of us who have watched can really feel. especially the emotion in Kang Tae's eyes and how Moon Young's smile was full of relief when she realized that after everything, the only one who would come to her and comfort her is Kang Tae. and she could finally let go all the hardship that she has carried for so long, knowing for sure that her safety pin is here and he would embrace her shattered soul and put it back together. that was why she collapsed into his arms. and how Kang Tae's hands were tentative at first, but then he decided to embrace her. two lonely souls that have been longing to be loved, finally found each other.
one more thing, i just love the idea of the lighthouse so so much. when they met under the pouring rain in darkness, at this exact moment 1:22, the light of that lighthouse from afar engulfed them both. the meaning of a lighthouse is to shine a light in darkness, to give hope and guide the way. that's so perfectly fit for Kang Tae and Moon Young. they will light up each other and heal each other.

I think that Moon Young liked Kang Tae When they were kids the only problem was Kang Tae was always running away when Moon Young Shows her true self to him that’s why Moon Young called him a coward until now. It’s my only opinion based on what i understand in the story.
I don't think it's her true self. Especially when you relate her killing those butterflies, to the hyung thinking the butterflies will kill them, idk I think there is some relation here.
He was scared to see her true self when they were kid 😂 Somehow i can understand why kangtae want to runaway from moonyoung on 2nd ep. His life is not easy. He don't need another problem to add. But on 3rd ep, we can see how go moonyoung change his mind. Go moonyoung with her realistic minf know that he want to be happy and free but he keep saying that he don't need anything except his brother. That's why she called him a coward and hypocrite.
Actually that's the weakness of the story, like they don't need to make a story about childhood love like that, in my opinion it's too much. I like the way they tell a story about mental health issue but childhood love is too mainstream in kdrama so far. In fact you will see children to be a closefriend than lovers.

I've watched A LOT of dramas for many years now and up until now this has ti be one of the best kdramas I've watched
It's completely not cliché but tells a very deep and realistic story between two special people who's circumstances make it hard for them to love or let alone understand love. It not only educates us on psychology but also shows us love from a completely different perspective and how difficult it can be for some people. Given these aspects there's also going to be a lot of character development which I'm really curious about. I absolutely love it rn I've never seen another romance kdrama like this

This drama is so Cinematic, and the cinematography is so 3rd person not those crane and drone shot cinematography. The 3rd person perspective makes it so much more immersive.

This drama feels relatable. Many people in the world have mental issues but are scared of coming out because people will judge them. I absolutely love the role of FL. She seems very strong, rude and powerful. But actually is very fragile. ML seems very reserved type of person but he actually wants to be free, have fun and most importantly wants to be loved. I want to see what happens when the Story unfolds. This drama got me hooked in the very first part of the drama. The cinematography and editing of this drama are aesthetically pleasing.
Even without dialog between these two, they can pull off a sad scene together with their face expression only !!!

I'm watching kdramas for over a decade now and I think it's the first drama in a long time, that I really invested my feelings in. I think I rewatched the first 4 episodes thousand times >_< The story, the directing, the characters, the acting and their CHEMISTRY is so amazingly good!!! Waiting each week for new episode are gonna be torture, but in Germany we say:" Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude!" :D The greatest pleasure lies in the anticipation!
