This aircraft has an absolutely new wing which was designed with the assistance of Ukrainian engineers from Antonov Design Bureau, new landing gear, modern engines, avionics, air conditioning systems etc. From MD aircraft its just a shape of the fuselage, which was used in order to save the developing time and money.

Quite a refreshing UA-camr. I miss videos like these when an aviation enthusiast gives an "experience" review rather than an "Instagram" type review. Keep it up!

Great video, mate. As an Indonesian, I haven’t used TransNusa, and I’m considering it for my flight from Bali to Jakarta this December 😊

Walking in T3 Soekarno Hatta is really annoying, everything is far away. And I always feel like the airport is conspiring against me by having almost all my flights from there at the furthest gate away😂 also really interesting note about the noise going away when landing. Great video👍

Airbus is state owned in the true sense of the word. Boeing is not, although it receives enough gov subsidies AND financing, it might as well be state owned. I worked for Boeing for a while, our salaries were based on federal gov employee salary guidelines, so go figure

They should get credit where credit is due. A govt that places its revenue to education and manpower quality will eventually reap its rewards. A point to note is their high speed rail is based on homegrown technology and patents. This is not simping for that country but one that values progresive values and a betterment for their society deserves the praise when they achieved a technological landmark such as this.

Saw another video of this airline and their first ARJ-21, that too had some defects on them, was they not checked before delivery. As with BA they check the aircraft over then expect it though if there are some issues then they ask either Airbus or Boeing to sort it out before taking aircraft.

I dont see any difference of the private luxury jet of today with the same design layout. Default you have louder engines due to proximity of the engines to the body BUT if obe engine fail, 5he ARJ21 does not yaw as much as those fitted on the wings. The plane air closer to ground and it facilitate easier access to ground crew and paserm🎉can climb on board from a lower staircase. The MD80 was designed to be easily serviced and required less ground support equipment. That is why it was loved by US Airlines. I hope Comac will make it better for the thousand of local budget Airlines around the world. The Douglas team design a well design plane

And you’re also right, Terminal 3 Jakarta airport is so huge. I think it’s poorly designed.

Nice review of a relatively unfamiliar aircraft. Always a lol when people clap on landing.
