seriously I have been stretching canvas for years by hand with a staple gun and on bigger canvases a couple sets of vise grips with flat metal plates welded to the jaws..seems kind of over engineered doesn't it? It honestly doesn't seem any faster...ok so on really large canvases I sometimes need a hand. I would be afraid of over stretching with something like this.
Plus what happens if you have a canvas of lower grade? Bad quality canvases - I get them all the time. People bring their stuff from Africa, Asia. You need to feel the canvas, use appropriate strength for each particular piece.
Lol 🤣😂🤣😂 He acted like it had a lot of tension on it when he slowly released the rachet latch, it guy it’s loose already From when you unloosened the tightening bolts on the other side shake my head
What the actual F?! Sorry guys, I honestly don't want to offend anyone, I do apologize for my language, but still, there are no other words for this. By the time you assemble this useless gadget and tighten your little screws I have the canvas perfectly and evenly stretched by hand, pliers and a stapler. I stretch canvases for all the local print shops and galleries in the area. I got a computerized matcutter, framing softwares and all that - I dig anything that makes the job more precise and easier. But this is completely ridiculous. Complete waste of time and money. This is like inventing a machine that you have to operate for half an hour to put a tea spoon worth of jam on your toast in the morning instead of just doing it manually with the actual spoon.
Maybe the best corner technique I've seen.
Can't find this canvas stretcher on you're site from the link you gave above.....?
The device applies tension in one direction, but does not stretch laterally. I'll stick with other methods.
How much
Device good for handicapped with hand or finger arthritis or elderly with weak wrists.

Quickmate is a bit of an oxymoron. I have seen beginners stretch it faster by hand
I´m too lazy...
