This show is called Chingchasawan (ferris wheel). It is a Luktung (Thai-Country) musical band competition for school students. It was one of the highest rating TV shows in Thailand. It ran for 10 seasons and then stopped for many years, and the latest season comes back this year and is running the first round now on TV. I could say that most Thai people under age of 35 (roughly estimation), had been growing up with the show. It was really popular especially in the provincial area. Many school students from country side wished they could perform on this stage once. . The rules of the show use to be playing 1 song within 5 mins, but the latest season, they changed into playing within 12 mins with no limited amount of songs. And it would be judged by three parts those are music, vocal and show.
The singer told her story before she committed suicide. By jumping off a cliff on a waterfall when she learns that the man she loves has a wife. and she recounted the episode after her death. She became a ghost waiting for the man she loved to come back to her.
