Precious metals are physical savings. Over the past 2 months I’ve closely watched silver price go from $23 to $20 and immediately bought about 140 ounces, then the bank run happens and silver price is now up to $25. I think I did good.
It’s a rinse and repeat process.
My budget us pretty small so I buy when I can and I also have no plans to sell. I'm in it for the long haul 😊

@@jetboy770371 The lines are blurry at the moment due to demand. Silver usually you want to find at least in the 20% premium range.
@Silver Britches it's pretty crazy lately. I started collecting 2 months ago and now things have gotten out of hand. It is interesting to see how the precious metals are moving and to be a new owner. I just wished I was aware of their value in a portfolio years ago and not at retirement.
$28.50 an ounce on silver has me holding off on it…. Hasnt reached that spot amount in nearly 2 years… gold on the other hand, i can see picking up a little but not alot
Gold buffalo has been my favorite coin the last few years. Try to save up during the year and pick up two every year and soon as they come out. Got lucky this year on the timing and prices. Sorry you had that kind of week S.B. Tugged at my heart looking at your Pup.

I am very sorry about your dog. Horrid news. That being said, I do not know what is the best thing to do concerning gold. So I wait. I said I would wait until summer and re-evaluate. I will try to do this. Most of the time it is a mistake to do impulsive gold purchases. Naturally we don't want to be left behind at the station while the price leaves us in the dust. The old strategy of waiting for the dips may quit working soon.
They sure do but the pendulum always swings back the other way.
Stop buying if the premiums are high and watch the price come down.
We all did but the bank crisis put it right back where it was 😆

Its not a good comparison to make between long time stackers and those just getting in. Price is always going to be relative. Not everyone has 20 to 30 years to hold. But the way I see it never too late.
Its never too late. It just might not be at the price you want it.

Brother I agree!! The US dollar is my currency, no matter what this government does to try and tear it down… Furthermore, I don’t see the Chinese yuan gaining the world status currency. I seriously think it would take a generation for that to happen. It would be so difficult for every country to switch over from its trading goods, exchanges and markets. it’s too complicated for half of these countries that dont have the technology that a few other nations have. I’m buying a little at a time. I’ll pause when spots 30. I only bought buffaloes today at 27.30.

A few years back, we lost our family pet and it was really horrible but after about two or three weeks that void was so heavy that we immediately started looking for another dog, a pup of any kind, the main thing we thought about was this - somewhere there is another puppy or a dog and they need you -they need you to help them. They need you to love them. They need you to rescue them. Go fill that void brother like we did. It was the best move, there is a pup somewhere waiting for you. Take care brother

My favorite gold to stack is the AGB too. I've gotten 7 of the 2023's but stopped the last 3 weeks due to price. Waiting for them to get back in the1900's. Until then ive changed gears & have gone to the qtr oz AGE's. Didn't own any and made since to me during this time. We love our pooches around here & had to put one to sleep yearrs ago & was one of the hardest things ive ever done. She was 13 yrs old. God bless you during this time.

I know it's sounds bad but I've never grieved harder than when I lost my dog. It's been years and I think about her every day. She died of a massive stroke in my arms which was the hardest thing I've ever had to see. Thankfully I have her pup who is five and I remind myself every day to enjoy him while I can.

The petro dollar is collapsing which means the dollar bill is collapsing. That is why silver and gold are all over the place. It's important to understand currency as well as gold and silver, then you will better understand spot and premium prices. It doesn't make sense to save your collapsing currency in your pocket when it's loosing it's value and will soon implode. Think Weimar and Venezuela and decide your next move. That CBDC won't save anyone either since it can be turned on and off as well as will have expiration dates which is insane.
I stack for many reasons, I hope this isnt the one I need it for.

Dogs become part of the family so its insanely hard to make the decision that its their time because THEY cant tell us how they feel - that heartbreaking decision has to be centered around whats best for the animal vs what WE want to have happen...I lost BOTH my Labs a few yrs ago a month apart. There will be others but ALL my dogs that passed have a place in my mind and heart, just the way it is, good luck.
