Well, sort of. You can use C natural as a passing tone. This is actually in the key of D. The Dmajor scale works and so does A Mixolydian which is just the D major scale starting on D.
This is a great track if you are trying to get your head around modes, and treat the chords as a D major progression. There are so many note choices and perspectives available in these type of progressions.
