- Over 1 hour of awesome departures from the 2018 Royal International Air Tattoo, including the rare new Japanese C-2, Ukrainian IL-76 and SU-27s, C-17s, KC-10, Rafale C & Ms, USAF F-35As and loads more! I personally prefer departure day over the actual show days as you get to see all the aircraft onsite moving. Some take offs are cut short due to obstructions obscuring the view. That said, plenty of footage here of this epic show.

I used to live in Swindon and Fairford for me will always bring back memories of taking the kids for picnics to watch Concorde prototypes ... RIAT has become probably the best international military air show in the world.

So easy to forget that by today's standards the spitfire would be a stol aircraft with a short take off. The landings is a different matter but with a proper 3 point landing, they can stop relatively quickly too.

Great video. Bet you had a good time. Since you were behind other people with vehicles crossing in front of you, I would suggest you switch your camera to MANUAL focus. That way the camera won't keep going in and out of focus. I'm sure you were far enough away that it was focused on infinity anyway. Give it a try. I think you will like the results.

Why comment. You really think I cut them off..? Actually Mr Clever the rotations were obstructed y buildings, vehicles and people... Hence them not being included. Also, worth reading the desc...

May want to hose it down, odd seeing the Iron Cross still used, their “other” symbol has been retired since 1945. Seems in the US nowadays they are calling it (Iron Cross) a symbol of hate as “Bikers” seem to favor it.
What aircraft is that for the Luftwaffe @ 1:1:16 it looks well past it's used by date.
That is C-160D Transall which is being retired and replaced by the A400M.
What aircraft is the jet version of the DH Mosquio?

Good job Numb-Nuts! Cutting away from your Tag-in Aircraft just as it was about to rotate from the runway so everyone that came here that wanted to see it take off gets F’d Over... That took skillz... 🤦🏼♂️
Because of objects, buildings and other obstructions many rotates where obstructed... numb-nuts
Such a spectacle, couldn’t watch myself as picking up litter with a bag or opening gates

What is that smoke/mist emanating from the base of the tail fin of the Mirage fighter at 31:10?
I think its just oil vapour, I was worried hence why I zoomed in lol
I've seen this vapor coming from different locations at rear several fighter aircraft in this and other videos. Is this some type of cooling system?

Panzerkeks 85 high yes you can buy tickets before the day however tickets were available to buy on the day

AS SAID IN MANY OTHER COMMENTS!!!! Take offs where obstructed by buildings and trucks are certain points, hence the take off is cut out.

@@CBGSpotter Not cut the video every time a aircraft is about to takeoff. We see video of them taxing, then on their takeoff roll, and as the aircraft starts to rotate, the video stops. Very anti climatic.
@@scotabot7826 Have you ever considered why it's cut? Clearly not, the fact is many obstructions occur such as lorries and pilot shuttles, so their is not point including the clip. I'm not a bus wanker or lorry spotter.
