1,000HP Nissan GTR R33 Skyline

Zameer Shaik's 1996 Nissan R33 Skyline is pushing out around 1,000 wheel horsepower according to his calculations. Lets not forget to mention that it's a street car with street tires.
We met Zameer at Mkuze Airfield during a KZN Motor Racing event and he was kind enough to share some details behind his build or "baby" as he likes to call it.
During the event in June, Zameer ran his personal best of 10.06 @237 km/h and reached a top speed of 293.3 km/h over the 800 pass.
It is a full street car, with a full interior and an ice-cold airconditioner but something sinister lies underneath the hood: a heavily modded RB26 motor with a single turbo by Garret.
Zameer said he is reluctant to change the tyre set up or modify any of the panels because he wants the Skyline to remain true to its purpose, having fun whenever you want to.
The Japanese beauty is a result of the crafty and reliable work of South African racing and engine building legend, Steve Clark of No Sweat Racing on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
Zameer also wanted to thank his close friend Dino Singh from team Larkspeed Performance in Pretoria for all of his help over the years, both on and off the track.
