Mouth Care for an Unconscious Resident

Supplies (2 sets of gloves)
1) 2 Chux (for table barrier and under patient's chin)
2) Basin
3) 2 towels (or use 1 large towel)
4) Padded Tongue blade
5) 4 glycerin swabs (prepackaged) or 4 sponge tipped swabs with mouthwash
6) Personal Lip balm
7) Kidney basin
