Przywieźli go z Rumunii, skądś z gór "mołdawiańskich", otrzymawszy go w prezencie od jakiegoś tamtejszego "Jankiela". Pozdrawiam!
Hello Grzegorz - This lovely Tango totally makes my weekend happy. I told you before that Adam Aston was one of the Tango greats with his phenomenal, understated interpretation of super hot Tango lyrics. Your fabulous artwork truly dazzles - the photos you chose - bring back all the glorious times of the great Tango creativity in Warsaw circa 1930 - til 1939. Thanks whole bunch and have a great weekend!!!
I listened to this melody first time in September, 2008 (performed by Tino Rossi). Then I realized Bixio is a hypergenius of composing and I spent all those years of my life not even knowing he had existed. It is a big shame of mainstream media not to broadcast such pearls - who knows why...
Pozdrawiam i dziękuję!
French title was just like the Italian: "Tango de la fauvettes", meaning "Tango of the blackcaps". However, in Polish this would sound rather humoristis: "Tango gajówek" or, even worse: "Tango pokrzewek" (both are Polish translations of Italian "caponiere" or French "fauvettes"). So, I think Polish lyricist made a good decision to entirely change the title into a "Hot Lips Tango" and to put completely different lyrisc into that song . Thank you for your post, D. :-)
I will have to keep this in mind, when I'm reviving these old recordin gs: to leave that old crackling sound, and not to let it be fully removed.... I confess, it's sometimes my sin - the temptation to make these recordings TOO clear, I agree... Thank you :-)
Mundanity... This word is not listed even in the Google's English-Polish dictionary. Fortunately, I also have English-German dictionary, which I inherited from my past auntie, who was a teacher of these both languages, and I found! It means : Banalität. Thank you for one more useful and unusual English word
Lana, I was sure that tango will "put you right on your feet" (there's such saying in Polish, is there a similar one in English?). Thank you and greetings to you, too :-))
Cudo…❤❤❤Brawo Grzegorz!!
Divine!

Super excellent with very good interesting photos
Once again you and Aston hit "out of the park" homeruns--the best and most soaring, in American baseball slang. Dzieki!
Piękne jest to tango! Takie romantyczne, cieple i miłe. ;-) Aktualnie u mnie też Aston się przesyła ;-) Pozdrawiam
Superb !
Magnifique !!
