ביקורו של הלורד ארתור בלפור בארץ ישראל באביב 1925 הגיע בהזמנתו של המנהיג הציוני חיים ויצמן, מטרתו העיקרית הייתה השתתפותו בפתיחה החגיגית של האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים.
המסע של הלורד הבריטי עצר גם בראשון לציון, בפתח תקוה, בבנימינה, בחיפה, בראש פינה ובטבריה
Lord Arthur Balfour`s visit to Israel in the spring of 1925 came at the invitation of the Zionist leader Chaim Weizmann, its main purpose being his attendance at the ceremonial opening of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. During his trip to Israel, Lord Balfour visited many locations and was given a warm reception wherever he went. In several places, even those where he was not scheduled to stop, entire villages turned out to greet and applaud him
I pieced together multiple clips trying to recreate Balfour visit to Israel in chronological order. Most of the clips and dates are from the late film historian Yaakov Gross and include descriptive audio. It was quite a challenge to get the footage at the right speed while maintaining smoothness.

Thank you for your kind words. As many of us heard of Lord Balfour Declaration, I had no idea what he looked like nor about his visit to the land of Israel. I find it easier to relate to old footage if its in color and at normal playback speed. It was a worthy project and educational one for me as well.
