As someone who had to build Technic constructs for class you fell into a classic blender: every time you add Technic arms you increase the weight of the tower which means it needs to be stronger to stay up.

You only would really need the technic peices every once in a while to maximize density to make it not as tall it would just make the shooters into more of a clip like shooting mechanism
I love these shooters so much, I’ve been able to make those Russian truck rocket launchers from WW2. But here’s a hint, if you use these launchers for display or play, don’t not leave the launcher in lock mode or you’ll weaken the spring.

For the last challenge, I would've made it 4 shooters wide and put 4x4 plates between each layer of shooters to keep it together. Then I can just karate chop the back and fire them all.

I see what you mean, we tried attaching them with the same pin on the alternate side. But if done right your idea seems a lot stronger

I think you actually can reinforce it by making a few more towers from standard Lego bricks on the sides and then clipping it together on top.

I spent a really long time (like possibly 5 years) trying to figure out how to shoot those and before i knew you had to press down was: they werent good quality and hard to get to shoot
For the tower they could’ve like placed 2 by 4 sandwiching the shooters so they don’t crumble

Couldve removed some of the technic bricks inbetween the shooters to shorten the towers height, and keep tje ones as comnections for the lift arms. Removes even more pieces and further structual integrity
