I do also have the same issue he has, my last car-visor bluetooth had the charging port at the edge of the unit, and i used to leave it plugged all the time, with this one I can't do that =S
The reason they don’t put the usb on the side so you can leave it on charge all the time is because doing this will kill the battery, only charge lion batteries when they need charging
