- A video comparison between four of the most used simulators in this period on the Japanese track of Suzuka.
Let's see F1 2016, rFactor 2, iRacing and Automobilista one close to each other: what's your favourite one?
Let us know in the comments! - Ігри
Gran bel confronto, ottima realizzazione, complimenti!
Grazie mille. :)
rfactor 2 and AMS are very good sims, never try Iracing, F1 series are to fun I love it
good video except Rfactor 2 shouldn't be included since it's a mod. Assetto Corsa should be included with the SF15-T which is a very well made car. Also, the AMS footage should be from actual gameplay, not AI with the choppy steering.
AMS wasn't from AI, but from replay: recording while driving would have caused framerate to drop too much, resulting in a very difficult drive. Also, this wasn't meant as a F1 car comparison, but as a track comparison. AC is not included as there is no official Suzuka.
Andrea Candini oh ok fair enough then. Maybe do car comparison next?
I'll think about it if I find the time. :)
AMS. The little sim that could :)
I tried them all and consider iracing the best racing experience but very unforgiving and that might be the turn off for many folks not to mention the price and the constant upgrades you require for more advanced races.
AMS look and sound the best
you have the lighting in automobilista bit wrong.. the tyres are almost white, I dont even run sweetfx and I have a better overall lighting. The sky in ams is amazing in the video
That's the game with the standard SweetFx setting at 12. I didn't like the other SweetFx settings.
ams i d like to know the set up of graphical
Everything set to max, the game is pretty light on the graphic card.
AMS ❤
1. rfactor 2 car it´s a MOD
2. Assetto Corsa SF14T not found
ok
rF2 doesn't have an official modern F1, as such I looked for a car that looked and sounded similar to the others. AC has the SF15T, but no Suzuka track, as such it wouldn't have made sense to include it using ripped content.
pero el rfactor es mod no?
The Kreizer Yes, I had to use a mod as the game doesn't have a modern F1.
Andrea Candini el juego rfactor 2 que es exactamente? un juego de monoplazas? de coches?
The Kreizer It's a racing game with almost every type of car available: GT, Formula, prototypes etc. You can find it on Steam: using Steam Workshop you can subscribe to original content and mods.
wow entonces, me puedo descargar el juego, y instalar por ejemplo la temporada de f1 1999 con todos los circuitos y pilotos no?
The Kreizer If the mod exists (which it doesn't, as far as I know), yes.
Sadly iRacing.
Why no Assetto Corsa? isn't RF2's and AMS's "modern" F1's fake/unlicensed? or mods? Assetto Corsa beats them all anyways IMO with all 3 of its modern F1 cars. Especially the Ferrari F138. Amazing car.
No AC because this is a Suzuka track comparison: using a ripped Codemasters track wouldn't have been very much fair. ;)
Yes, both rF2 and AMS come with unlicensed content: in this case I used a mod for rF2 because there is no modern F1 officially released by ISI.
Andrea Candini
Actually it's a ripped NFS Shift 2 track from what I've heard.
Hugo Stiglitz I think there are different versions of the track. Some are 1:1 conversions, others are reworked to match AC standards.
Andrea Candini
oh that's interesting. I downloaded it a long time ago so I may have a different one. It was amazing visually but the road surface was way too smooth. The billboards definitely made it look like NFS Shit or Shift 2
I also love the Macau track that has been converted from GTR Evo to several other sims including AC and netkar pro. Oddly, that one doesn't seem as frowned upon
Macau is a real nightmare to get right, one small mistake and you're out. :D
E il miglior ffb......
Argomento molto spinoso e spesso molto soggettivo. :D Tra i titoli presenti nel video tendo a preferire il FFB di rF2 e Automobilista.
If you don't have laser scanned tracks, you lose a lot of points, and if you're not iRacing, you lose even more points :)
What good is having a laser scanned track if the physics are borked?
What's the point of having laser scanned tracks if you don't have real time day/night transitioning or weather conditions for that matter? Makes having the newly added Le Mans pointless for endurance racing. Hell they JUST introduced dynamic track surfaces 1 year ago. rF2 has had that from the beginning. Oh and speaking of Le Mans, iRacing has no LMP1 cars. Again, pointless.
Hello rFactor fanboy. Nice to meet you. Having played both extensively, sorry, iRacing wins. rFactor's dynamic surfaces don't hold up to iRacing's. No one has ever thought "we need laser scanned tracks to make these day/night transitions work", or vice versa. That's crazy talk. Laser scanned tracks make the tracks come alive, and make them accurate to real life. You could have day/night transitions in mario kart, and they wouldn't be any less impactful than having them in rFactor or iRacing. Entirely not related to laser scanned tracks. Day/night transitions will come to iRacing at some point in the not too distant future, and as always, when they do it, they'll do it right and in the most comprehensive way imaginable. Hopefully the deal with Luminis will keep rFactor moving forwards. Things sound promising so far.
Talk about missing the fucking point. Let me spell it out for you since you seem rather dim witted. If you're gonna have Laser scanned tracks for realism you need to have all the other realism factors. The sun does indeed move across the sky, weather does indeed change. Having all 3 of those in place from the beginning is something that SMS managed quite well. Fact is the boys at iRacing are just slow as fuck at coding and implementing any new features. Period. Lots of other sim makers outpaced them long ago. They are ALWAYS playing catch up.
Oh and have to disagree, rF2's Dynamic surface puts iRacings to shame actually.
SternLX i racing doesnt even have gte cars or the correct lmp2 closed cockpit lol
