The shanghai bike show was overflowing with wheels and wheel tech, so I saved some of it up for this dedicated wheel video.
00:00 Intro
00:18 ODIN Vsprint Supersonic
01:09 H-WORKS Hubs
02:26 KOMKAS Gold Wheels
02:48 KOMKAS .... somethings
02:48 KOMKAS Evo MAX
03:18: SCOM Disc Wheels

06:30 UpVine 950g Disc
07:10 Centi 890g Disc
07:32 FEREI Wheels
10:28 Outro - Наука та технологія
Correction: I was mis-informed. Komkas is not a sub-brand of Superteam. To quote Komkas: "komcas is an independent brand。It has nothing to do with super team"
I've really enjoyed all of these videos. It's a fascinating view into a different world. I particularly enjoyed the interviews with the various brand owners and managers. Great stuff, thanks for taking the time to produce these.
"If you like it deep"
Damn, you do know your subscribers very well indeed!
Ah... Only God can judge me...
Good combo with big flanges?
A true "Oh, matron!" moment 😄
Carry on China Cycling
But can you access the nipples?
KOMCAS twisted 10mm carbon spokes: when you want extra wind resistance for a better workout.
I would love to hear an explanation of why
@@davidtydeman1434 Because the twisted portions do not at all line up with the direction of travel. Very un-aero.
Good work! Love seeing the TT disks! They have to be the coolest sounding wheels around. (See what I did there)
Good review CC!
Previous thumbnail was correct.
Absolutely fascinating to get a glimpse into this world. I think for a lot of us (in America at least) there's a negative perception of "Made in China", Chinese brands, etc. Videos like this as well as what Hambini and Peak Torque are doing with these brands is definitely helping to reverse that stereotype, if only for me.
Peak torque says that the alleged top craft works carbon wheels are shaite
Just remember if you can’t ride fast at least you can look good😂😂👏
When will you carry the Magene wireless rim brake group set?
Do FEREI make an MTB XC Wheelset? If yes, please bring them onto PandaP, thx!
@hambini need to test the tolarances!!!
Hi there,
I have a insta360 x4 but the issue is I have a canyon aeror oard bike and I don't know what I can use to mount it from the rear? Do you have any recommendations??
Is there a link for the ODIN Vsprint Supersonic wheels?
Im asking the same ?
Same again?
this is second time I see gold wheel. first one being Yoeleo display skeleton bike on local bike ride event just last month with the gold frameset.
I'm seeing more and more gold wheels and gold bikes here in China...
@@ChinaCycling personally I think it is too tacky. maybe there are people actually like it.
I love it, it's tacky but it's awesome
Hey its great to see lots of disc wheels, but the key is the width. What are the widths of some of those wheels, and do we have any with ~32mm external width to match wider tires? Are there any that have wide internal for fast gravel?
Disc wheels for gravel? 2024 is a strange place. Will pay more attention to widths next time.
@@ChinaCyclingno reason to make a disc wheel less than 32mm external al all nowadays:
1. All tt and road frames accept 32s
2. Disc brakes mean no rim caliper restrictions
3. Rolling resistance gains
4. Rear wheel aerodynamics are negligible for tire size on a disc wheel
Where are the ODIN Vsprint Supersonic for sale? Don’t exist online?
i think is time for a disc wheel comparison test😂
How likely are you to be stocking some of that TT kit at Panda Podium?
Will start testing in order to find the best to list. Obviously with TT stuff a big component (the biggest) is aero. We have an aero sensor now. :)
@ChinaCycling that's excellent news. Thank you Joe.
Unfortunately the Odin Supersonics are 28mm external front and rear. Not as outdated as LW, but still shite for 28s, let alone 30s or 32s. They tried to convince me 28mm external was optimal for 30 and 32mm tires 😂
Where did you find this information?
@@Shevket9 "They tried to convince me" - they = Odin.
@@pmcmpcyeah I got that…..I meant it as in where? Because I can’t seem to find any information or way to contact them.
Where do you even buy these wheels?
Happy to help you choose MTB stuff. Voice is a good start but most likely too pricey for the punters. Most folks shop China as they want a bargain, some come to not ride the mainstream train. The frames which broke on me were Trek and Scott, the unbranded Ali frames are still going. Anyhow expand your horizon Joe, MTB's can go anywhere while Roadies are kind of confined ;-).
Yeah, as I learn more about MTB, I hope I'll be able to separate the wheat from the chaff
@@ChinaCyclingwill we see carbon spoked wheels for Mtb in the future you think sir?
I think the gold wheels would be cool if they actually look gold after a few months. I have my doubts that that finish won't look terrible after a while though.
what's a better bike show to visit taiwan or shanghi?
@8:58 that is for sure a car/motorbike brake hose on a mtb ........
You might be right those are banjo bolts
4:45 I'm not sure a 'snappy performance ' is what you want from spokes ? 😊
Hahhahaha. I didn't pick up on that one.
I am looking for the disc wheel gold
We missed the brakes price
Large flange, deap and stiff! That's how I like it!😜
What's are the connections between farsports 9velo and h-works
Farsports - OEM
9Velo - retailer that uses Farsports as OEM
H-Works - hubs manufacturer that Farsports uses in some of their wheels
@@dainiusvysniauskas2049 You're close, about half right. Its not polite to say who does what for who, because then people with competing brands may get snuffed at those factories... so my lips are sealed.
@@ChinaCycling That's fair.
I would not buy a wheel from a company that eliminated disc brake hub splines. Is that really the place to save weight?
Meh... If you tighten the lock rings properly, most of the torque is transfered through clamping loads, not those splines...
👏👏👏🇦🇹🇦🇹✌️
CC Panda podium is down
Working fine here...amount of traffic is also normal. Where are you located, is it working now?
@@ChinaCycling I am in San Francisco. It's working now.
A lot of these chinese brands don't even have a website
The main reason being basically nobody uses websites in China. Everything is through apps / social media.
I find riduculous a wheel cist more than a whole bike
We are too spoilt with choice for carbon wheels now.
Its cool how all these brands just rip off PCW 😐
It takes a lot of skill to fuck up brand and model names and chinese companies nailed it everytime.
FYI Titanium is not heavier than Aluminum, Great videos from the show !
Aluminum, with a density of 2.7 g/cm3, is approximately 66% lighter than titanium, whose density is 4.5 g/cm3....
Squoze
stop yelling please
You have no idea how noisy it is on the show floor. There's music blasting from a third of the booths. I have to turn down the mic levels and then talk louder.
Please speek faster! 😂😂😂
I usually watch in x2 speed, just so I can understand.
