Mark Chamness well a breed is not the same as a k9 police dog. and its naive to think if you have a german shepard its goin to be a protector as ive seen many weak nerved GSD.
Mark Chamness police dogs are NOT German Shepherds! Roman isn't a GSD! They are Belgian Malanois!

Thanks a lot for your reply :-) I know about many people who use different language to command their dogs ( in past it even helped when your pet was stolen cause you could prove it that way, that´s your dog! :-)) I was just really surprised to hear Czech of all languages. Who would have thought that K9 in US would have had Czech bred dogs :-) Thanks a lot!
It is most probably because that dog was trained and grow up in Slovakia or Czech Republic. But commands were in Czech language. In Slovakia and Czech Republic we have world one of the bests trainings for them.

Also, unless the bad guy also knows Czech, the dog would only listen to the officer and won't turn against him/her. That's why they aren't train in Spanish, either.
