When I think of beta males in the church I think of some males who think it is somehow a virtue to take the one down position in their marriage and other responsibilities. They let the women in their lives do everything in the church and family and call it being humble. This is not humility, this is weaknesses. Many men need to stop being in the comfortable "take care of me" position and instead take care of things that need taken care of. Be one with your spouse. Your wife wants you by her side in strength, compassion and love. Rise up O men of God!
Wilson is my idol ❤
I must admit I clicked on this link reluctantly. I had no problems with anything these brethren said, but some of the questions they recieved and the comments on this thread are certainly very cringe worthy.
Its insanity to try to typify anyone anywhere. As the men in the video mentioned, there are so many different people in this church and different brethren will answer the same question differently, as is the case with the women of the church. I just dont understand the point of conversations like these, maybe other than to show, yes we're people too, which can be an important point for many to understand about all people.
I agree with someone who said it would be great to have a video about fatherhood and how valuable it is. I loved the last question of this video for that reason.
Why are the “War Chapters” significant? Righteous Warrior by John Bytheway
When my mother joined the church back in 1981 I asked her what she thought of the church now that she had had a chance to attend a few Sunday services. Her exact quote goes as follows. "There are no men in this church." In the world that my mother grew up in men were required to be leaders. They may be loud (which no male in the church is God forbid) or they may be quiet but a man is a male person who when he walks into a room people know it. When Heck breaks loose (yes I am cleaning that up for your oh-so-gentle ears) he is the person the people look to no matter of position, rank, or calling. I know of many good men (as in males) in the church who lead only because it is a requirement of the calling they hold, but without that calling in place, I would not follow them across the street. A dear friend who used to be my Bishop years ago was faced with a very serious situation, the father of a child who was at an event at the ward building claimed that he was coming to the church to get the child whom he didn't have custody of. The man made it clear that he had no problem using physical force to get his way. My friend asked his counselor well if this guy comes into the building do you want to go low or do you want to go high? The counselor looked at my friend in shock. Saying but this is the House of the Lord. The counselor could not understand that physical force may be needed in a situation such as this. I could go on but if I say anymore this comment will get deleted.
Being manly doesn't mean that you can bench 200lbs, or that you like sport, or that meat and potatoes is your food of choice. (There is nothing wrong with all of those things)
For me, a true man is someone that loves God. When you love God your life lines up with His ways (ways that are just and true). And you become a true man. (Same thing applies as well to women)
Wilson is my glorious king 👑❤🔥
War chapters are great because Captain Moroni is my hero ❤
🤘🤘❓❔
Elder Oaks, Elder Bednar, Elder Holland just to name a few alpha males.
Add to that list the guy who should have been called an apostle, Elder Peter Johnson or even super stud Ahmad Corbitt, and a handful of others. I love this church, the more left it swings the less impactful it becomes though.
I have two questions for the SU-S crew… What is a man? And, what is a woman?
Wilson should tell his Scout Camp experience about the ghost of Timmy De La Rosa...
David is the Alpha of the beta males 😂
😂😂
😂 agree! But usually the alpha of the betas are actually Sigmas
As a man, I often feel like our needs are completely neglected and we just have a lot of responsibilities and inferior seats at church for reasons I've never understood.
I would say it's a good thing that LDS men aren't going around being abusive and aggressive to try to prove their worth. Thank you, internet.
Being a man, an alpha, has nothing to do with abusive. Aggressive? Absolutely, especially in today’s world.
this is the cringiest video of this channel..."poor me, my wife is there so I can "balance" all of my roles" they´re haging out with the hosts from ward radio too much!
