Thanks Dale, very glad you enjoyed my rendition of it! It's a hard song to cover all the different parts but I do my best! Feel free to share it around :)
Haha it's all good mate, appreciate you checking this out and enjoying it! Gosh I really need to re-do this performance with better video/audio... And less mistakes, LOL 😂
Very enjoyable. Since seeing this marvelous musical in concert (10th anniversary) a few years ago, it has become my favorite musical of all time. I marvel that 20th century musicals just got better and better, until I thought they just couldn't be more wonderful. Then came Les Miz! And Philip Quast!
00:00 Overture 00:32 Look down 1:25 At the end of the day 2:02 I dreamed a dream 2:56 Castle on a cloud 3:36 Master of the house 4:32 Stars 6:24 A heart full of love 7:18 On my own 8:25 Do you hear the people sing 9:31 In my life 10:30 A little fall of rain 11:37 Drink with me 12:34 Bring him home/ God on high 14:04 Empty chairs at empty tables 14:57 One day more
@JAMTASM i realised! a bit surprised! i dont however remember this showing up in my subscription box - so maybe that's one reason? I love Les Miz so much :D Sounds so good on a piano. hehe
I had to keep pausing this because I was so overwhelmed with emotion. This is music at it's finest--you truely capture the pain and love of life.God bless!
Thanks Becca!! Buying the book was worth it; though it didn't have ALL the songs so I managed to acquire the piano conductor's score and get all the other songs and blended it all together :) Great to hear that you're encouraged by this video to keep on playing and work on conquering the Les Mis songs, it really makes my day to hear things like this! Thank you for your compliments and all the best with your playing!!! I'm sure you'll do great; and don't forget to post me a link of it! :)
Wow, you really went all out! Great job. Les Mis is my favorite as well. I really especially liked the "Stars" portion. Thumbs up and keep up the good work :)
I sat through the whole thing easily! This was amazing! I sang along the entire time. :) You need to make this available for purchase, please! :) btw, love your passion throughout the whole medley. And especially at the end where you sort of punch the air, it awed me. :)
Wow, thank you for your kind, kind words; I must admit I wasn't expecting such a response; it definitely made my day!! Thanks for watching and enjoying it; feel free to share the love! God bless you Haley! =)
Thanks for your support and taking the time to comment, I do appreciate it mate! Once you've been playing for as long as I have, your memory ability for playing increases more and more! I'll check out your video! Thanks again, J
haha, thank you very much for enjoying this video!! I'm sure with enough practice and passion you can very easily do this too!! Keep on playing, and surely you won't be annoying people with this music, it's too beautiful!! :) Feel free to share this video around! :) Thanks again for watching!
@alanshore17 Thanks for your kind words and support! Full respect to my fellow Les-Mis fan!! Stars is in the top 3 of my fav Les Mis songs! So beautiful! Cheers mate, J
hmmmm, an interesting thought; never considered it, especially as I'd have to re-record all the covers with a proper studio recording set-up (or at least have proper recording equipment). But I'm a fair bit away from having the funds to do that. If I ever have the time and resources to do it, I'll certainly let you know! Once again, I really do appreciate your support, it means a lot to me Kirstie! Have a great week!!! =)
@debz12321 well I'm glad you eventually got to see it! Definitely agree, it works quite well on piano! Such a powerful score, absolutely love it! *Hi-5!* =) xo
that. was. AMAZING!! well.. that was the best way to end my day :) Thank you so much for this! I was wondering if buying the book was worth it.. if it would/could sound anything like the songs and you proved that it can! I am now going to get the book and work like crazy to try and get this down! As i said before You. did. AMAZING!
This is so wonderful! I love piano medleys, and I LOVE Les Mis, so being able to put this on and listen for 20 minutes is great! It blows my mind to think that you're playing this all by memory! One Day More is my favourite song, and since you seem to love it also, I thought you might enjoy my One Devon More video. I sing every part in One Day More. Check it out, if you wish. God bless, and great job, once again!
Thanks for the healthy tip; it's been a while since I played "properly" since I stopped classical performance almost 10 years ago now, so my technique is not as proper as it used to be! haha :)
@JAMTASM Are you familiar with Tommy Korberg, who played Jean Valjean in the Swedish version of Les Miz? He sings Bring Him Home so beautifully! Another European singer I've just discovered is Sissel. Music lovers, check them out!
haha, aww thanks mate; I'm glad you enjoyed this. Unfortunately I don't have the means to make a tutorial video due to the lack of internet and time as I work on a ship. Honestly, all the songs can be learnt through any Les Mis Piano-Vocal book. You can easily obtain them online these days through various websites I'm sure. And then just find a creative way to link them all up! :) All the best with it my friend!
This is so good!! :D You are an amazing piano player!!! I really want to play this on piano!! :) Do you have the piano sheet music for this??? Where did you get all of these music from? :) Which book is it from???
Hi, thanks for watching and enjoying it! unfortunately I don't really have the time to transcribe it all, but fortunately it's not too hard at all, 95% of it is simply playing the song just as you would from the piano/vocal book. There's 3-4 songs that I got from the piano conductor score. There's nothing that I've done that's totally unique; as long as you know how to play each song, you can figure out a way to blend them in your own creative way! Good luck!
Hey thanks for watching and enjoying it! :) Honestly 96% of this is straight from the Les Mis piano book and the Piano-Conductor score (which you can find on 4shared.com) The rest is just me making my own transitions into the next song, which you can improvise some chords, melodies and motives to intertwine one song to the next. I'm sure you can use your own creativity & imagination to make it sound awesome!! All the best with it!! :)
Great Job Bud! I Appreciate it! (^^u) I have one question though, what did you use to record this auditory Art? And where did you place the microphone for optimal recording quality? : )
haha, well I did my best to keep it as short as possible but I struggle when there's so many good parts to the score! 20mins was the best I could do! Thanks for watching; feel free to share the love! :)
Thanks for your kind comments Sara! I do appreciate the feedback and knowing that the almost 20mins wasn't as boring as it could be for you! hehe If I ever to re-record this for better sound & visual quality I'll be sure to let you know! hehe, I always love a good power-fist-pump; it stems from my semi-amateur conducting years! :) God bless you Sara, feel free to share this video around! =)
This is incredible. No other words. Blown away
Thank you for the kind words mate! Much appreciated :)
So beautiful....................thanks for rescuing our souls
That 'One Day More' was how anyone aspiring to play it should play it. It was amazing.
Thanks Dale, very glad you enjoyed my rendition of it! It's a hard song to cover all the different parts but I do my best! Feel free to share it around :)

Really amazing and impressive that he has it memorized, HOWEVER, very very disappointing that the song Red and Black was left out. :(
Friendly tip, careful about making your hands flat. Your hands get flat once in a while which is a reason of your mistakes. but very beautiful.
Thanks for the healthy tip; it's been a while since I played "properly" since I stopped classical performance almost 10 years ago now, so my technique is not as proper as it used to be! haha :)
Also please feel free to share this around to those who may enjoy it! :)
I played with my hands flat since i first learned and every now and then it causes pain :(
theres nothing wrong with flat hands/fingers, you can not have a rounded hand shape and curved fingers all the time.

I have one question though, what did you use to record this auditory Art? And where did you place the microphone for optimal recording quality?
: )
@debz12321 hehe, thanks Deb! funnily enough, being my fav oritemusical, it's one of the lesser viewed vids on my channel!
Wow
You and me both!!! =)
Does anyone know where to buy the original score sheets?
