Hey mudda peepos, I know this video looks weird from our usual but we wanted to post this to see what would happen. Don't worry not all JKP is going to be edited like this, that's why me & bart said what we did in the beginning of the video, there was a technical difficulty and we tried to cut around it. We scripted the intro and instruction portion, everything else was a real reaction. Thanks for all your input we're going to switch it up soon, don't worry guys we're still the same people, we're just experimenting with something new and sometimes it doesn't come out good. I know you guys have been waiting for more mafia and so heres a secret sneak peek, March 11, 12:00pm PST we're going to release a really different new version of mafia. I hope you guys stay tuned for that because i'm crazy excited to show you that one. Thanks for all your support and loyalty for all these years and we'll keep trying to make you laugh from the fun times!

This format is a necessary step towards evolving the JK Show. The chemistry is obviously still here (why would you ever think the opposite). The banter, the reactions and the passion are still the same as they were before, it's just that the way they present, record and edit is much more "cleaner" or professional. Still, this professionalism does not mean that they are now just a "Tv show wannabe", It means that JK is improving the quality of their content for a more enjoyable experience (the edits are apart that improvement, hilarious) and less of a pain in the ass to understand what the f*** is going on. I like it better this way. Thank you for your time.

I can see why quite a few people in the comments are complaining about the "fakeness" in the video, whether it's an older one or not. That's what happens when youtubers try to sound like a TV show, which is exactly what youtube viewers are getting away from. It's the informality and realness that people enjoy, not so much all the organization and professional theme.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: this has been over edited so unecessary also the editing feels rushed there's no short pauses its just cut after cut. this feels really scripted to the point where your raw chemistry has gone, the appeal isn't there it almost like a cheap TV show that's on at late night that no one watches. You should go back to your roots with simplicity. None of this unecessary introductions of each cast just cut straight to the point explain the game start the game that's how it should be the audience isn't in to all this extra stuff you're trying to add it's congested. raw simple genuine was your appeal and now it seems you've lost it. I love you guys but this format isn't appealing at all.

I don't think JK understands that most of the entertainment quality from their content is them being real and acting like themselves. Being professional and cinematic doesn't work on a platform where it's just a group of the same people playing random games; it's nothing like TV game shows. Just look at other successful channels like HigaTV where they play mafia in their own living room while just being themselves and having fun. I'm okay with the new set design, cameras, and scenery, but please just be yourselves and have fun! :)

i think people need to chill, ok yes it is feeling a little scripted but only as far as how its cut but when its game play its all off the cuff if you watch Jos or geo/barts vlogs you would know this, but i do think having one table for games makes it feel more like they are up the dinner table like on games knight but im guessing its a camera angle thing. im all up for upping production but as long as you guys remember people are watching for what you have already been doing so dont change it to much !!!!
The feeling of scripted-ness is due to the editing and the editor is definitely at fault. The switching of camera angles is too frequent as if a movie or television dialogue where the camera angle should show who is currently speaking at that time. Actually, none of their reactions changed. Watch all other JKParty videos in their old office and they just react the same, but the camera switch and camera distance are the only things that changed. To remove the scripted feeling, the camera should be a bit farther and the camera switching should be done less. This results to an authentic feel because you seem to be inside the room they are also in since you will be viewing their reactions from the same point of view all the time.
