Don't think that was Vanny. That was probably Roxanne or Chica - the voice was talking about 'it was just a glitch'. Like a glitch in their programming affecting the way they would normally act. Implies that all but Glamrock Freddy are being affected by a glitch (presumably caused by Vanny) and they're trying to coax Gregory back into them by telling him it was just a glitch and they're okay now.

The fact that there will be animatronics fighting along side you makes me really hype for this game.
Idk why but i love the simple idea that the animatronics aren't all trying to murder you although if they get caught then it will surely make the game more terrifying- basically false sense of security, which is genius.

basically what i've got from the trailers is that we'll start out trusting the seccurity guard and hiding form the animatronics who might be trying to help u, then we'll realise that the guard is vanny and we'll be hiding from her. Also, headcannon: glamrock freddie is possessed by an onder teen and that's why he's so soothing... Thankyou goodbye.

There's a theory going around that Glamrock Fredbear is gonna be helping Gregory (the player) throughout the game, and for the most part, I think that's true. But my guess is it's all gonna turn out to be a facade, and he's just trying to take and kill Gregory for himself.
I hope he doesn't end up trying to kill Gregory :/ would be cool to see a possessed animatronic try to help rather then harm :O

To be fair, Freddy from FNAF 1-2 will never harm a kid and they both hate adults so I think Glamrock Freddy was based on those two, protects Gregory and attacks Vanny.

What I mostly LOVE about the fnaf games is how mysteries it is. It dosen't tell anything, and yet! It gives you information.
I love horror games where the main focus isn't really about gameplay, but more about the lore/story itself. It's so good to see that no matter what you did, Fnaf's story never have been fully told, or conformed. This is why there is so many theory videos about it, and why it is was so succesfull in the first place. Amnesia The Dark Descent has the same thing. So many things happen around you, yet, you don't know what is actually happening and why until certain parts of the game. The fear of the unknown mixed with mystery just always worked so well with fnaf and I'm so glad to see that they did it again. Plus the improved visuals, gameplay, animations and voice acting are just so mind blowing to me! The music sells it really well too!

Theory I have-
Possibly the reason Vanny could be after Gregory is because he saw her do something she would not want another to see. Perhaps, she killed one of his friends and he witnessed it. After he witnessed it he went to hide in the mall.
Vanny mentions having Gregory’s friends with her, too. It could be she is holding gin’s friends hostage/are with her. There could also be a chance she has his family hostage also. Because it feels like Gregory’s parents might have called for him over the loudspeakers if he went missing.
Yet another theory-
If it’s true that Gregory might have seen Vanny kill a friend of his it might mean one of the animatronics are haunted. This animatronic being Glamrock Freddy. Why is it Glamrock Freddy? Well it explains why Glamrock Freddy would help Gregory/us throughout the game.

I am kind of disappointed at how the game turned out.. everything in the trailer is so different from what is in the game. I think Scott leaving played a major role in the game turning out how it was, but it was still a really good game! I just wish it was more like the trailer

So basically purple guy (william afton) has three children, Michael, Elizabeth and Crying child (who's name we dont know)
First game chronologically is FNAF 4. Its about Crying child's (C.C for short) nightmares at his dad's job (the pizzeria) in the minigames it shows he is the victim of the bite of 83. Which happened on his birthday, when his brother Michael and some other kids bullied him, picked him up and put his head in Fredbear's (later to be golden freddy) mouth. He ultimately dies from the bite and it is not official were his soul goes but one theory is that he is inside golden freddy (said to have two souls inside) along with another victim named Cassidy. I don't know if the other 5 kids (chica, bonnie, foxy, freddy and golden freddy) happened before of after C.C's death but its def the same year. Because of this, William afton's business partner, Henry, decides to create Puppet one day to obstruct the door and not let william kill Henry's child, charlie (or Charlotte, it depends on how you wanna call her). William kills charlie outside in the sidewalk instead and her soul goes to puppet.
The next game chronologically is said to be Sister location (Elizabeth, William's daughter dies here), then fnaf 2 then fnaf one, then fnaf 3. But that's the baseline
here's what I think happened:
a guy named William Afton works for a company called Fazbear industries, which is a company that makes the FNAF version of chuckle Cheese. they use mascot robots to serve food and stuff, so William attempts to make working AI to inhabit the robots, making the robots more advanced. he makes the roots inside cartridges for Atari games made based on the establishments legacy to educate the AI, but the AI get's glitched and becomes obsessed with finding a way of escaping the game world and spreading itself to other entities. Will decides to run a field test using his spring trap suit, but it doesn't react. upon putting on the suit though, the AI then corrupts William's mind, making him do some crazy sh*t! his son ends up getting killed due to one of the robots crushing his head. he then kills someone and makes more robots with the hidden purpose of murdering children. those robots end up killing his daughter. his other son Michael then takes a job at making sure the robots are up and running before eventually the robots gut him so they can wear him as a suit. they then abandon him after a while but some how Michael survives. the AI spreads it's influence over more of the companies robots across different locations, making them attempt to murder whoever is in the building after opening hours. Michael takes on new identities as he takes nigtgaurd shifts at each location. the corrupted William kills 5 children who may or may not have been possessing the robots. at the discovery of what the robots were doing, William destroys the robots (who are made of nuke proof material so old Willy must be shredded AF!) but either unleashes the spirits of the kids he murdered, or he just thinks he sees them. either way he puts on his spring trap suit and ends up dying because of it. due to all the murders that happened at their previous establishments, the Fazbear company makes a horror attraction called "Fazbear Frights" where they end up putting the spring trap suit. to make a long story short that establishment burns down. then someone (probably Mike) buys one of the Freddy establishments to contain all of the previous robots before burning them all to the ground! the fazbear company realize they have some bad history so they make a VR game based on the experiences of the previous nightgaurds in the industry, in order to pass of their experiences as just rumors. while making the game, they used the code from the old games that the original AI was built in and accidentally make him part of the VR game. the AI then corrupts a play tester who is now taking on the identity of Vanny. that's about it as far as I can tell

Making this game set in an entire mall was such a good design choice. It gives a lot more creativity than the early fanfic games and it extends the creepiness of a pizza place to a laser tag arena and a McDonald’s-esque play scape.

From what I’ve gathered from other comments, I believe that is Glamrock Freddy helping Gregory hide from Vanny. You’re technically right, it’s just that it’s not an animatronic helping us hide from another animatronic.
If you slow down vannys jumpscare, you can see more of her animation and a bit of the background.
My best guesses is she jumpscares you in the main party room with the Easter egg Bonnie poster, OR Roxannes driving arena. Because even though it's hard to see, there's black and red in the walls / background
And also for her animation if you slow it down, she looks up to the right then stares down at you

yeah, returning to these only convinces me that with the first trailer, this game originally had a different plot. vanessa actually being cooperative and afraid? something changed somewhere along the production. 1:19 sounds like monty, but at the same time it _doesn’t,_ and we never hear this line in the game. and the unfinished sections of the maps and in the coding? so much, man.

Are we not gonna talk about the man's voice in the first two trailers? I'm kinda suspecting the bear animatronic
idk because later in the trailer the “gregory be still, i think she’s found us” is probably the bear because of the pic of gregory hiding in the bear and this, presumed, male animatronic is helping him. i compared the two clips and the animatronic helping him has a deeper more robotic voice. so it could be afton, or someone else.
