No doubt, the best song from Germany ever.
I think he's like the only one who had really fun while performing and put his heart and soul into it. No big show, only his band behind him. He sang clear and beautiful, no wrong note at all!

It was the best song of that year. I actually picked up the phone and voted for it. The stage performance was good enough, but lacked the all singing, all dancing, smoke and flashing lights performance that ESC voters usually go for.

I really don't understand why the ARD/NDR are not working with Prosieben anymore. Lena and Roman brought great results home which we did not have for nearly a decade. But with the end of the partnership our entries went downhill again (although I have to say that Black Smoke wasn't bad but the performance at the ESC was dull compared with the singer's energetic performance at the selection which, I know, she did not even win).
I wonder what poor singer we will send into oblivion in 2018. With the more closed selection I fear for the worst.
I really guess that partnership ended with Stefan Raab, who was the driving force not just behind ProSiebens collab but also with all good German entrys in the last lets say 15 years. He was also much loved by younger Germans due to his comedy and his DIY events. I think he retired from TV in 2013 so that might be why the partnership ended. Also ProSieben is sadly not interested in Eurovision as they see it as an event for "older people" which is not their demographics. I for once as a young German who is not interested in troll acts fall pretty out of norm here =( its a ll a bit of a sad story but well probably Micheal can score something decent this year.
