Did you know about her before? Or is this your first ever???? Anyway she is a country singer and not as well known in the UK. So no surprise. You know being Canadian didn't help her initially. Americans don't like country singers that come from outside the United States. So it was tough on her at the beginning.

Shania is an amazing artist and I'm sure an amazing human being. At age 22, her mother and step-father was killed in a car accident. She raised her 2 sisters AND 2 half-brothers. She was married to Mutt but divorced him in 2010 after he cheated with her best friend. She later became friends with the ex-husband of the cheating former best friend. After consoling with each other, they later became a couple and married in 2011. They are still married today. Again, Shania is an amazing human being. And thank you guys for your reaction. You've honored her unique singing talents simply by reacting honestly and with sincerity. Best to you both.

You should read about her difficult "Early Life" on her Wikipedia page. After her mom, Sharon, divorced her dad, they (along with her two younger sisters) spent time in a homeless shelter. Her mom later married Jerry Twain, an Ojibwa from the Mattagami First Nation. ... Twain (accompanied by her mom) started singing at bars at 8 to try to help pay her family's bills; she often earned 20 dollars between midnight and 1 a.m. ... Twain wrote her first songs at the age of 10. ... On November 1, 1987, Twain's mother and stepfather died in a car accident. So at 22, Twain moved back home to take care of her four younger siblings and took them all to Huntsville, Ontario, where she supported them by earning money performing at the nearby Deerhurst Resort. ... About how to pronounce the names. I think mispronouncing of names is part of the charm and cuteness of this show. I never want to correct the names to Zack and Sam. Great choice, she did so much for the crossovers to and from country! Her name is pronounced Sha Nye A. Check her life out, its mad interesting. Sidenote hope you aint Everton lovers cuz this would be awkward.....congrats on yesterday YNWA up the Reds!
But you know, sometimes she is insulted and mistreated because of the crossover thing. Many country music fans are mad at her and tell she is a traitor and refuse to listen to her records. Or in awards, they vote her down.

But a case in point. It is Tim McGraw's ONLY hit and number 1 at that in the UK. Tim has ten times better songs than that "Over and Over". But Brits refuse to encourage him, unless Nelly is in the picture. Or else they don't care and they don't want to know anything about him, because they disdain country. So again, discrimination!
Actually I love Zack and Sam when they mispronounce names. I think that's part of the real charm of their page. When they butcher the names like that, I always have a wide smile on my face and I don't want to correct them. Honestly it is so cute. You don't need to be precise you know. And you know, if the actual artist sees the video, he or she will be equally happy by seeing how their names are butchered. Imagine Shania watching this video. I mean she would be ecstatic every time she hears her own name by these two fellows. She might even send them a "thank you" note telling them how much she enjoyed watching the whole show including when they read the Shania Wikipedia page LOL . A good case in point is the British Irish country and Irish singer Nathan Carter. He went for a brief concert in the States and a few radio and TV stations were intrigued by this country boy from England. So they ask him about country music and who he likes or is influenced by. So he names names and of course it's like Irish pronunciations. Then one of the Milwaukee hosts turns to the other host and says: "The way he pronounces those names!!!!" and giggles. Sam many times gets it right. Fir example Zack introduced us to "Billy Jowelll" and Sam corrects him. He has saved Zack's ass many times by correcting him.

She wrote 'Your Still The One' for Mutt, as well as a bunch of her other songs, but 'From This Moment' was written for her parents that died in a car crash in 1987.
Her parents died together in a car crash when she was 19 for younger siblings to suddenly care for and she wrote that song for her parents as the eternal love always to be together... At this moment As in the moment they would always be together... She writes all lyrics music arrangements
