Your comment about a health care worker losing their job struck a chord: The health care system I work for has been letting people go and then re-assigning their job duties to others without a pay raise, and many of those let go are long-term employees. They've let one gal go who had 20 years in, and another gal -- the infection control officer for a small hospital no less! -- had 40 years in and was nearing retirement. Yeah, I think this whole Covid 19 thing has definitely been used by some employers to selectively thin the herd when it comes to the workforce. The queen on an egotistical power-trip in Lansing needs to go. I am waiting to see if she's going to extend the lockdown by two weeks come Friday. That's been her M.O. She does that 2 more times and she'll have this lockdown as long as she originally wanted ('til July). I think President Trump was being generous by calling her "that woman" in Michigan. Other terms come to my mind when describing her. . . . . Grrrrr.
Forgot to mention: I don't know about where you live, but people are NOT staying home and "obeying" the royal edicts of Queen Gretchen. I was picking up my daughter from a bonfire last night and I bet I passed at least (6) other parties / gatherings at people's houses on the way. It was a beautiful night -- can't blame 'em. Also, the traffic on the roads is not indicating people are staying home anymore. It's just as busy as it's always been. Good! If Wretched Gretchen extends this ridiculous lock-down, I hope everyone just ignores it as they obviously are now (at least around here). The warm weather moving in will naturally cause the virus to die down (as it does every year after cold and flu season), but you know Governor Nanny will claim it was all the steps and rules she put in place that made the virus go away. The only thing worse that having Gretchen as a governor would be having her as a VP with senile Joe as president. Oy.

I am in West Michigan, there is a lot people tired of the Governor and the numbers not matching.

Yeah, I know several young folks who are making triple what they made because of that unemployment deal. I think that's craziness.
