Hi from South Wales UK Just bought ts 60 with accessorie kit Best saw I've ever used unbelievably smooth Been deliberating new saw for ages and realy wanted a cross cut hk when I saw that the ts 60 fit on to hk rail it was no brainer havi g owned ts 55 for about 6 years it was an easy upgrade keep up the good work 👍
Can someone tell me why the riving knife was removed? It's not only nice for kickback, but for keeping the off cut away from the blade if the kerf tries to close behind the cut. It's one of my favorite features on my TS55
Oh those blades, OMG TS60 168mm = 6.614173 inch, TS75 210 mm =8.267717 inch, TS55 160mm = 6.299213 inch Kapex 120 260mm = 10.23622 inch Kapex KSC 60 216mm = 8.503937inch, and there it is.
Dang, I wish I had known about this. I have no idea how this escaped me. I bought the 55 a few months ago. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it but these features are awesome. That motor would be nice while working with my UJK dogs. They get in the way which is a shame. I’m blown away I had no idea this saw existed
Can someone explain to me what the purpose of the -1° and 47° stops? I have something similar on my TS55, but I never really understood the applications
I just bought my first Festool, TS 60 KEB, I have read the manual several times and I cannot find any saw toe adjustment steps in the manual. Is this no longer a requirement or feature with this saw? I enjoy Brian's videos he answers questions that I have that no other Festool UA-camr creators do. I thought I would find the answer here.
Isn't the plug it cord 16awg? That should handle up to 16 amps. Weird that you guys have it hard wired over there. I bought one last year and only just started really working with it. It is a fantastic saw, a lot nicer than the 55, absolutely love it. I hope by the full circle in the end you mean a cordless version this year, bought this instead of the tsc55 because of all the new features and overall being nicer. What would be absolutely great if they made it run on a single 8ah battery. It would make it a lot slimmer than the 55, and the capacity wouldn't be far off the two 5ah batteries either. I have the mafell cordless and it's great having only a single 10ah battery on the charger.
@@mikewaters6980 It's hard to say, both have really nice features exclusive to them, but I'm sort of leaning towards the TS60 right now. I bought the Mafell used, got a really great deal on it with 3 Bosch tracks and all the accessories. This way they both cost me about the same, but buying new I wouldn't pay that much more for the MT55. The TS60 feels a bit more robust and stable, which makes me think it's more precise. The Mafell has quite a big footprint because of the battery. I'm also more used to the Festool style tracks and I prefer them over the Bosch rails. You can use it on both types but I've yet to try it, don't want to ruin my calibrated splinterguards. If the TS60 was cordless somehow, I'd pick it over the Mafell. But I prefer the MT55 over the TSC55. I also have a corded Makita these replaced. It works great and gets the job done just fine, you really don't need anything better than that, but they are a bit nicer to work with if you want to spend a lot more. The new Milwaukee saw also looks very good, my colleague is going to buy one eventually, can't wait to give it a try.
@@Bence205 Such awesome information there. Thank you Bence for such a detailed insight- super helpful mate. I've been mulling over it for a while. The Mafell cordless seems to be what everyone dreams about, but it's about twice the price with batteries to the TS60. On paper specs at least, the TS60 seems to be much more comparable to the MT55, and your personal experience with the TS60 seems to approve- it's swaying the decision towards the TS60.
@@mikewaters6980 If I had to buy the Mafell new, I wouldn't buy the set with batteries. Last time I checked, they only give you two 5.5ah batteries. Mine came with two Metabo 10ah batteries, which adds up to the same watt hours as the TSC55 with the dual 5ah setup. I've seen these 10ah batteries for as low as 120€ a piece, and you only really need two. The metabo air cooled charger is also reasonably priced around 65€. It's still super expensive. If you can live with it being corded, you will be very happy with the TS60. I really don't mind the cord on most tools. I can't understand why many people opt to use cordless tools in a workshop setting. It's just added weight and cost, usually with less power. But most tool manufacturers completely abandoned their corded tools and only keep innovating on the battery powered ones. We do all our work on site and it's great to have a cordless option on large commercial jobs. But 90% of the time I have to connect the vacuum to the tool anyway, so I've been using the Festool most of the time, and I couldn't be happier with it.
@@Bence205 Thanks Bence. What you're saying makes a lot of sense. I was looking getting the Metabo batteries and charger and getting the MT55 cordless as a skin- but the price still is extensively more than the TS60K. An you're right, you need to consider your environment and application- being hooked up to the extractor anyway, I guess the corded doesn't make a lot of difference. Thanks for all your insight mate. Much appreciated.
Supposedly it's well balanced to avoid that. I have never heard anyone ever have a problem, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen I suppose. Have you ever heard of it being an issue for Festool? I know Makita has a nice system for that, but they don't even have a riving knife for safety. It makes no sense to me.
Perhaps I can make an equal trade for the TS 55 FEQ I recently purchased 😢 Actually, it’s all the saw I’ll ever need, but can’t help to be a little envious
I can never understand why festool track saw has both indications of depth of cut for both on and off the rail. I have never never used or seen the saw being used of the rail. Please demonstrate the saw being used of the rail just to prove it can be done if nothing else
Add edge parallel guide (also HK(C) compatible). Useful for repeating narrow strips. Depth measurement is for those floor guys who ride along walls with the edge guide or cover plate.
Get back with me when Festool adds a 90 degree 3” depth of cut to a saw that incorporates all these bells and whistles. My TS55 collects dust while my 20+ yr old TS75 dinosaur gets DAILY use!
Like that it works with both FS and FSK tracks. Do not like that it deviates from Plug-it system. I dislike established System deviation!! I do like the outside cord management hook but the new and PROTRUDING Outside splinter guard seems odd? Only reason to buy over a TS75 is it works with FSK track IMHO. We need fewer, not more blade sizes, engineering money would better spent on making the base of the TS 75 fit both type tracks. I won't be buying this wildly UNNECESSARY saw.

Will the TS 55F also work with the FSK rail, or just the 60?
The FSK rail is compatible with our TS/TSV 60, and the HK/HKC saws only!
Just got the deep dive demo from the festool rep at my local woodcraft today. really impressive!
I have the Mafell mt55 it has 1.6 meter tracks which is better for cutting sheet material.
When can I buy one in the US?
Exactly one month from today: June 21st.
Can someone explain to me what the purpose of the -1° and 47° stops? I have something similar on my TS55, but I never really understood the applications
A little extra bevel for tight miters.
Hopefully available this year in the USA
Exactly one month from today: June 21st.
Bryan from Barry in Wales. UK have just got the saw two days ago and I am looking forward to using it. ❤️
Hang on, did I hear you say that it's not going to have a plug-it cord in the USA?
If that's true, I really hope this is a prototype and you'll be able to correct that before it ships in the USA.
Are we able to replace the fixed power cord without it voiding the warranty?
From East Hampton NY. Nice ts 60.
When will we have it in the United States?
Exactly one month from today: June 21st.
What did he mean by the full circle being revealed later this year? Do you think he meant a TSC 60 KEB?
when is the TS 60 V coming out?
September 6th! We just announced today!
@@festoolusa can we pre order at wood craft? or Rockler?
@@gregtrimble7113 We arent positive on if pre-ordered are available, I’d check in with those dealers and see!
Just realised I have missed the live show in the UK. USA must be on daylight saving time, so on 4pm here not 5pm.
Yes! We just switched over this past weekend!

on my Mafell I don't have to put the saw on its side to change blades.
No, but there's nothing wrong with gravity being your friend. Having the blade facing up is intuitive and nothing to complain about in my opinion.
I have the mafell it’s very good, I think it’s better than the Festool.

Awesome. Still considering selling all my Festool stuff to move to Mafell. Fewer tools, fewer accessories, ability to clamp near the edge of the cut.
How does the Mafell differ from this saw in its ability to clamp near the edge of the cut? I'm sincerely asking because I'm new to this stuff.

Hi all from Sydney, Australia
I just want a new hk that has two battery system that will cut 45 degrees. I have the tsc 55.
no plugit? why? the european model has plugit.
Now if they would come out with an 85 for us slab table makers. The 75 is nice for everything except the 45's
? Still don’t have something to keep it from falling off the track at 45 degrees

I have a 55 and the problem I have with the splinter guard is that on 12mm thick material, the guard is in the wrong place and is useless.
Why does that make a difference (12mm vs say 18mm)?
Time to upgrade the Kapex with more power too and I'm all in for Festool.
Stoked about the saw but a little bummed it's not Plug-It. Are you guys accepting bribes to bring it back?
😂 we do not accept bribes. But we will pass this suggestion along to our product team!
Wait for the TSV 60 KEB with scoring blade.
