THANK. YOU! I personally cannot comprehend the Boeing FMC at ALL, pilots will probably and rightfully fight me on this one but, compared to Aribus's it is one of the most badly designed ones out there. This saves me an ammount of trouble you have no idea how big.
Thanks for the tutorial and looking forward to more from you guys! I have already been importing my Simbrief flight plans and wanted to verify that I have been doing it correctly... 😀
Very good Video and decent explanation! One small tip - in the FMC, always select first the RUNWAY, then the SID or STAR and lastly the TRANSITION if any, in that order. Not all runways are available for all SIDs or STARs. Lastly, I flew Gatwick to Miami in this aircraft and she flies really well - except that using the B748 Simbrief profile left me short of fuel and caused me to divert to Jacksonville International with about 3000kg of fuel left! I'm hoping that you or someone might produce a more accurate Simbrief profile, as has been done for the FBW A320NEO and the Headwind A330 for example. Great video and a nice aircraft.
Thanks a lot for the video. Can you fly on Simbrief's recommended fuel? I can't fly. The amount of fuel recommended by Simbrief is not enough for this plane. Do you have this problem?
Hello, even though I tried everything in this video, my RTE page is still empty. No departure/arrival airports in the blank fields. No waypoints. Anyone know why?? I put my simbrief pilot id, sto I don't know why it doesn't work. What's funny is how the green button lights up telling me I can execute the plan even though there's nothing
i did a flight from VHHH to EGLL with x4 the speed and halfway through the flight, the low fuel quantity warning comes out. is the fuel flow higher than expected with this mod?
Was wondering at 4:48 that you looked at the Dispatch Remarks and chose Departure Rwy 08R. I'm still learning all this. What made you decide on that Rwy given the info. Thanks.
Hello there, in real life runways used for takeoff and landing are decided by the wind direction. If you look at the simbrief page you can see the weather info in the weather info you want to find the wind info wich is 10025KT in this case in some formats it might be also shown like 100/25KT but they are the same the first thee digits of this (100 in this case) says the wind direction so it is coming from 100 degrees if you don’t know what a magnetic direction bearing is there are numbers from 0 to 359 and 0 is north 90 is East 180 south and 270 is west after this three degrees you will have the wind speed 25kt in this case for takeoff and landing we want a headwind so if the wind is coming from 100 degrees and the runway heading you are taking off from is also 100 degrees, that’s a perfect headwind and you use that runway but usually you won’t have the exact runway heading as the wind direction so you will choose the nearest such as runway 11 (approximately 110 degrees) 12 13 etc. So if you have runway 15 and 18 and wind is 100 degrees you will choose runway 15 because that is the closest to 100 hope that gives an explanation
Thanks but what I'd like to know is how you now get this IFR flight plan filed with clearance delivery as I have no option to do so. All I have are the depart North, South, touch and go etc if I start from a gate Cold & Dark?
I’ve been having problems with the standby power inside of the aircraft and was wondering how to fix it. The simulator won’t let me activate it like the switch is inoperative like some of the other buttons on the overhead panel.
how do you get the altitue into the legs? you filled the perf completely but there are no desired altitudes. how do you fix? ive also had this problem at home.
I'm new but unless there is a way I haven't found it. From what I understand after few flights, we set Auto pilot then we control the speed and altitude with the knobs. The info in the FMC is irrelevant. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. The plane will follow the flight plan. The only time the Autopilot will follow FMC altitude is when its on approach and the glide slope activated. Then we let the system do the rest.
@@Yurrrtypesh It’s funny because I flew it yesterday and on the approach, it suddenly turned left instead of continuing on the STAR. I had to manually control it to final and then land. Hopefully it gets better with the AAU update.
@@malcompicinotti1268 Hmm I stopped flying the FBW A320 because it won't follow my flight plan. A recent issue. So I switched to the Salty 747-8 and I find it's flying great at the moment. It has become my favorite plane for now. Was this AAU update done yet ?

Nice video! It would be amazing to have a feature like the A32NX to setup the fuel and payload.
Thank you Timothy Prata for the video
Great tutorial.
Thanks very much

Clear and precise. Thank you.
How do you get the speed restrictions to show up on SIDs to use VNAV? Wouldn't the speed show up once the weight is accepted on the flight computer?
Great Job
Where do you get youre pilot id? If i use simbrief , there is no pilot id in that box?

great work, very very good explanation! Keep it up :D
Thank you very much for the tutorial, now I can fly the 747-8 salty, I leave you a like and a subscription.

so i did as was shown here, and no flight plan is showing on the map dispaly, dont knopw whati am doing wrong
any way to get take off performance data to calculate?
Not at this time - perf data will most likely be available when out custom flight model is released, which I can't provide any dates yet
Thank you for this Aircraft, but it has no drawbacks, I continue with AIRBUS 320 Fliyweare
